Rock Band DLC update: The Dead Weather, Judas Priest photo

The Dead Weather is one of those “super groups.” Not like the Avengers, and not even like Savage Animal Damnocracy that VH1 forced upon Sebastian Bach and that one guy from Biohazard who has sex with Tera Patrick now.

No, this is an actual super group which features hater-of-music-games Jack White, Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age), and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs). That group right there is totally super, and now their music will be available to play in Rock Band (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) next week. Please buy it and support the band so they can go buy combs.

The Dead Weather Pack 01
“Hang You From the Heavens”
“No Hassle Night”
“Treat Me Like Your Mother”

Judas Priest Pack
“Dissident Aggressor (Live)”
“Eat Me Alive (Live)”
“Prophecy (Live)”

Big Dipper Pack
“All Going Out Together”
“She’s Fetching”
“Young Bums”

Oh yeah, that’s right -- live Judas Priest, too. Now there’s a super group, folks. Each pack is $5.49 (440 MS Points), or $1.99 (160 MS Points) per song.

Additionally, next week’s DLC for Rock Band 2 Wii and Rock Band Unplugged has also been announced, which you can find after the jump.

Additional tracks available for Wii (July 14) -- 200 Wii Points per track

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club “Weapon of Choice”
Dear and the Headlights “Sweet Talk”
The Devil Wears Prada “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?”
Evanescence “Bring Me to Life”
Evanescence “Call Me When You’re Sober”
Foreigner “Blue Morning, Blue Day”
Foreigner “Feels Like the First Time”
Foreigner “Headknocker”
The Killers “Mr. Brightside”
The Killers “Smile Like You Mean It”
The Killers “Spaceman”
Maroon 5 “Little of Your Time”
Maroon 5 “Makes Me Wonder”
Maroon 5 “Wake Up Call”
The Pixies “Crackity Jones”
The Pixies “Dead”
The Pixies “Debaser”
The Pixies “Gouge Away”
The Pixies “Here Comes Your Man”
The Pixies “Hey”
The Pixies “I Bleed”
The Pixies “La La Love You”

The Pixies “There Goes My Gun”
Spinal Tap “Back From the Dead”
Spinal Tap “Rock ‘n’ Roll Nightmare”
Spinal Tap “Saucy Jack”
Spinal Tap “Warmer Than Hell”

Just to let you all know, the Judas Priest songs are from a new album coming out Tuesday. You can listen to them here.

All 4 members of the band in the header have really punchable faces.

@Aurain - I like some of the stuff Jack White has done, but huge LULZ at that comment. And the guy that is banging Tera Patrick is form Biohazard? That Spider guy? That sucks, she's so hot and he's just like every other overweight tattooed fugly metal guy. Yes, that is jealousy you smell.

Man I hate The Dead Weather so much. I love Jack White and the White Stripes/Raconteurs. I really really hope that the Dead Weather sound isn't similar to the new (hopefully) White Stripes album this fall. Since The Dead Weather is touring there's no hope of seeing The White Stripes or Raconteurs right now either.

/anti Dead Weather rant.

I really wish I hadn't bought World Tour. With the metal pack that just came out on Rock Band, and now judas priest... Fuck guitar hero.

NOTE TO EVERYBODY: IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING EITHER ROCK BAND OR GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR, PICK ROCK BAND BECAUSE GH:WT'S DLC IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND YOU WILL REGRET IT.

There, I did my part.

Man, people are pretty generous with the term "super group" these days.

@Jon

I don't have a clue who any of them are.
I just know that they all look very punchable.

Any band that doesn't have Jack on guitar is FAIL. He plays drums in The Dead Weather, and that to me is the most ungodly ridiculous waste of talent ever.

Yeah That's a Super Group and you have the Gall to Dis on Judas Priest? What a moron. The Priest has staying power which is more than I can say for that bunch of flavor of the month Cretins or any of their previous bands.

I saw the Kills for $3 once. Best $3 I've ever spent. Also, I think Jack Lawrence lives around Nashville, I've seen him around.

@-PL-

I've been thinking about picking up World Tour because of the recent DLC. There was an awesome Phish pack for WT, and Rock Band only got one Phish song. Not even a very good one. Now next week WT is getting an awesome Eagles of Death Metal pack. It's obvious you and I have different tastes in music, but lately WT has what I want.

I guess I interpreted the "Oh yeah, that’s right -- live Judas Priest, too. Now there’s a super group, folks. " the wrong way. The sarcasm meter went off the charts ....
