Thanks to a lovely SNAFU over at Xbox.com, the Rock Band downloadable content for the remainder of the month has been revealed. While the listings for the next two weeks have since disappeared, you can expect the following:
Week of January 22, 2008
Oasis Pack includes songs by Oasis including "Don't Look Back in Anger," "Live Forever," and "Wonderwall"
Week of January 29, 2008
"Progressive Tracks" include "Siva" by Smashing Pumpkins, "Working Man" as made famous by Rush *, and "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)" as made famous by Coheed and Cambria *
Now before the "Where are the promised full albums?" whining starts, I'll have you guys know that I went to bat for you, and tried to find out the answer to that very question. I was told by Harmonix reps that "it's in the pipeline" and that "no firm release dates have been announced." Yeah, I'm useless, I know. But I certainly tried, and that has to count for something, right?
In the meantime, Harmonix and MTV Games have let us know that they're teaming with Ray-Ban to bring Rock Band to the Sundance Film Festival. From January 17 through January 26 (from 11 am - 5pm and 7pm to 2am), Park City Utah's Harry-O's Monkey Bar will be transformed into the "Ray-Ban Rock Band Bar." Try saying that backwards five times fast.
We need a british invasion pack.
Pulp, Blur, and Oasis would make Tazar less pissed off at the world.
emphasis on blur, plz.
Though a Pumpkins pack would have been great. Zero or Bullet With Butterfly Wings would be a perfect fit for the Rock Band set up

Rush!!!
Wow, I want this game naow.
Rock Band is gonna be the one that saves me.
That new Coheed song had some sort of tie in with their new album for promotion, which is why they got the master. Odds are they weren't able to get the rights for the actual master track from the record company, another reason why they should die in a fire.
Loki, you do know there is a Police Pack, right?
Geddy Lee is also in unusable shape. Who cares? GIMME.
Both "Welcome Home" and "Ten Speed" are from the same album, and it's not the new one, No World for Tomorrow, but their previous one, Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Vol. 1. So I get what you're saying, but in this case, it doesn't apply. Here's hoping Jaren Face and IGN are right.

Anyway, I expect Wonderwall to be the most played song during the next Rock Band Party.
Third-party attachment?
You do know that I actually mentioned The Police in my previous comment, right? I specifically said more music like The Police.
WE WANT PRISON SEX IN OUR ROCK BAND!
I will echo the Tool Sentiment!
Other than that I'm getting all those songs. I want the Oasis pack a lot more since 2 out of the 3 songs kick ass while the other one is just "meh".
I don't know about you guys but I'd love to see some more metal songs on Rock Band. How fun would it be to sing some Slayer, Cannibal Corpse or Killswitch Engage? Death metal songs would just kick ass!!!
(Note: I know two of the three bands I mentioned are not death metal. I was just saying in general so don't yell at me.)
Why do they keep throwing in these bad Smashing Pumpkins songs? Smashing Pumpkins is one of my favorite bands of all-time, but what the hell are they doing?! Give me "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," "Zero," "1979," and "Today"! I hate "Siva," "Cherub Rock" is OK but even that isn't even close to being their best.
The bad part is that when I think about it, what're the chances of them giving us MORE SP? Very slim IMO, and they wasted it with f'n "Siva"! Come on.
