Rock Band DLC: Electric Six, Alanis, The Racontuers photo

The wait for the klezmer 8-pack continues, with next week's Rock Band Music Store selections featuring music from The Raconteurs, Alanis Morissette, Electric Six, and The Flobots. For your perusal and approval:

  • The Raconteurs - “Many Shades of Black”
  • The Raconteurs - “Salute Your Solution”
  • The Raconteurs - “Steady, As She Goes”
  • Alanis Morissette - “Head Over Feet”
  • Alanis Morissette - “Ironic”
  • Electric Six - “Dance Epidemic”
  • Electric Six - “Gay Bar”
  • Electric Six - “I Don’t Like You”
  • The Flobots - “Handlebars”

Each track will run you $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points. But you can pick up The Raconteurs and Electric Six stuff as packs at $5.49/440 MS Points a piece.

Rock Band Unplugged also gets its update, with Green Day's "Know Your Enemy" and Rush's "Red Barchetta" at $1.99 a piece. If you picked up a PSPgo and got that free Rock Band Unplugged "not quite a demo, but not the full game" game, you can download these tracks for your portable rocking as well.

Personally, I can't get enough Alanis. If history is an indication, then I look forward to failing those songs publicly on the drums at PAX East in 2010.

Handlebars is going to get SO OLD after like the second play. Certainly no Gorillaz.

Otherwise good shit. Love my Alanis and haters be damned.

@Xzyliac

I completely agree.

Steady as She Goes, however, is a fantastic song. I would love to play that.

...

...if I had Rock Band.

A good couple of songs, really like Electric Six, was wondering however, why not include 'Dance Commander', 'I buy the drugs' or 'Jimmy Carter'?

I will repeat what I said earlier and say my hands involuntarily reached for the sky when I saw Electric Six's "Gay Bar" on there. That song is going to be awesome to rock at parties.

This is the best thing ever. Electric Six are God. <3 Raconteurs too.

As usual, Rock Band DLC never ceases to please me, they gave me Spinal Tap and Tenacious D, and the hits just keep on coming.

Electric Six!!!

My jaw literally dropped when I saw that.

And I second "Danger! High Voltage". "I Buy The Drugs" would be the shit as well.

Oh my god. I've been pushing for Electric Six since the inception of the full band music game. Thank fucking god. Decent selection of songs, too.

Personally I'd prefer "Pulling the Plug on the Party" or "Dark Angel."

@Ghost2047

Well, considering there's barely any sign of drums or bass in Jimmy Carter, it wouldn't have made a good addition. However, Rip It would have been perfect.

But HELL YES ELECTRIC SIX <3 I guess sending in those band suggestions really did help.

That Handlebars song SUCKS, the rest of the CD is AMAZING. That's the worst song on the CD. If you like it or not, look up the rest of their songs and be prepared to be amazed.

But in your defense, when you fail "Ironic" and "Head Over Feet," it will totally be because of a calibration issue.
