Rock Band DLC: Blind Melon, Blur, more Foo Fighters photo

I know what you're thinking. "Hey! You're not Nick Chester and only Nick Chester writes about Rock Band!" Well, I stabbed Nick in the kidneys as soon as I saw this story just to prevent him from writing it instead of me. Why? Because Blind Melon's "No Rain" is finally coming to Rock Band next week! Now I'm down to only a few reasons to be jealous of Guitar Hero: World Tour players! Wooo!

That's not all you're getting this week, though. A new Foo Fighters pack is coming to the store, a Blur song which is clearly not "Song 2" and is therefore irrelevant. Eve 6's "Inside Out," a frequent shower-singing tune for me is also coming alongside a track each from Dropkick Murphys and Kaiser Chiefs.

Foo Fighters Track Pack 02 ($5.49/440 MS Points for pack; $1.99/160 MS Points per song)
“All My Life”
“I’ll Stick Around”
“Lonely as You”
Blind Melon - “No Rain”
Blur - “There’s No Other Way”
Dropkick Murphys - “I’m Shipping Up to Boston”
Eve 6 - “Inside Out”
Kaiser Chiefs - “I Predict a Riot”

All of these songs will be coming out for the Xbox 360 on August 18th and PlayStation 3 on the 20th. After the jump, check out the songs for the Wii version of Rock Band and for Rock Band Unplugged.

Additional tracks available for Wii on August 20th, 200 Wii Points a piece

Gorillaz - “Clint Eastwood”
Gorillaz - “Feel Good Inc.”
Gorillaz - “Re-Hash”
Janis Joplin - “Piece of My Heart”
Jefferson Airplane - “White Rabbit”
The Band - “Chest Fever (Live)”
The Who - “Magic Bus (Live at Leeds)”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Apache Rose Peacock”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Breaking The Girl”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Funky Monks”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “I Could Have Lied”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “If You Have to Ask”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Mellowship Slinky in B Major”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “My Lovely Man”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Naked in the Rain”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Sir Psycho Sexy”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Suck My Kiss”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “The Greeting Song”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “The Power of Equality”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “The Righteous & the Wicked”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “They’re Red Hot”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Under the Bridge”
Megasus - “Megasus” *
Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives - “Entangled” *

Tracks available for Rock Band Unplugged on August 20th, $1.99 a piece

Pat Benatar - “Heart Breaker”
Coheed and Cambria - “A Favor House Atlantic”

Holy crap! Those Foo Fighter tracks are bloody brilliant! Lonely as You is a (nice) surprise. I hope its a sign for much more Foos to come too, especially the not-singles. Come Back would be pretty epic.

Also Inside Out! Much fun to sing. This is a good week for me.

All in all, really awesome tracks. My favorite is "I'll Stick Around." That song is still awesome after 14 years.

Lol, nice list of songs, and I agree if it's not Song 2 why bother? On another note, good ol' Eve 6 :P.

Your lack of appreciation of Blur both horrends and astounds me. That guitar line is one of the all time great indie riffs.

I shall leave you to furiously rub yourself over the Foos.

Wow. I kinda wish I was still playing rock band on a regular basis. Hopefully that'll change soon.

Song 2 is in Lego Rock Band. Soo...yeah. Overall an okay week. Nothing I would buy but nothing I hate either.

I could have sworn "No Rain" was going to be a song in Lego Rock Band. This makes me happy because it has always been a favorite song of mine, and I don't have to end up waiting a millenium for that game to come out. Also, Blur made songs other than Song 2? Hmm.

Not sure about the Foo Fighters pack, I'm not the biggest fan when it comes to their stuff, but maybe it'll be fun.

it's taking all the power of my being to prevent myself from raging all over you for that blur comment, conrad. go listen to parklife and then get back to me about other songs being irrelevant (song 2 is their most overrated song, as well as most underperforming song, in their catalog)

Chill out, tazarthayoot. That's probably just sarcasm right there, mocking the fact that the only song most people know from Blur (sadly) is Song 2, much like how average Joe only knows Kings of Leon from Sex on Fire or Modest Mouse from Float On.

MORE freaking Foo Fighters? Seriously? Blah.
I want me some Billy Talent, actually. Or more European metal bands. I swear every week I'm usually disappointed. :/

Blur, yes.
Blind Melon. Well, now I have NO reason to own GH: World Tour.

Awesome.

This is not hyperbole: "Inside Out" by Eve 6 is on my list of top five most hated songs of all time. Literally.

But "No Rain" by Blind Melon and more Foo Fighters makes up for it.
