Rock Band DLC: Alice in Chains, Breaking Benjamin, more photo

Harmonix has sent over the list of what songs we can expect to hit the Rock Band Music Store next week. Breaking Benjamin will have a three-track pack to coincide with the release of their new album. A pack of five songs is also coming from grungy, alternative band Alice in Chains including "Rooster" which I inexplicably find myself singing at random times, no doubt due to my youthful exposure to this episode of Beavis and Butthead.

In addition to the two major packs, we have two songs coming from Kula Shaker and a lone track from Just Kait. I have never heard of either of those bands, but I'm about as culturally relevant as bellbottom trousers so it's entirely possible that you are far more excited for these than I am.

If you're keen to pick up new DLC for Rock Band Unplugged, there will be a couple of Foo Fighters songs to sate your lust as well. "Monkey Wrench" and "Lonely as You" are incoming.

The full list of songs reside after the fold. Anything you're planning to grab this week?

Tracks available for Rock Band 2 on Xbox 360 and Wii (Sept. 29) and PlayStation 3 system (Oct. 1):

·        Alice in Chains – “A Looking in View”
·        Alice in Chains – “Check My Brain”
·        Alice in Chains – “No Excuses”
·        Alice in Chains – “Rooster”
·        Alice in Chains – “Would?”
·        Breaking Benjamin – “I Will Not Bow”
·        Breaking Benjamin – “So Cold”
·        Breaking Benjamin – “The Diary of Jane”
·        Just Kait – “U Suck” *
·        Kula Shaker – “Hey Dude”
·        Kula Shaker – “Knight on the Town”

(All tracks are original master recordings)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Alice in Chains Pack 01” and as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system and as individual tracks on Wii.

Price:

$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track
$8.49 USD, £5.25 and €6.59 (680 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for “Alice in Chains Pack 01”
$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per track

Tracks available for Rock Band Unplugged (Oct. 1):

·        Foo Fighters – “Monkey Wrench”
·        Foo Fighters – “Lonely As You”

Price:

$1.99, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU per track on the PSP system

I'll get Would and Rooster, but I'll pass on the rest, not being the world's biggest Alice in Chains fan. Besides, gotta save some cash for the upcoming White Stripes/Queen/Nirvana packs.

I initially read that as "image superior to the band." While that image is awesome, you and me were about to have words, Conrad.

@Jesus I somehow keep reading it as that, and every time a spark of rage just fires up.

Same here, Jesus. I was about to tear him a new one. On the subject of new Alice in Chains, HOLY F their new album is amazing. I've had it on repeat all week. Duvall is no Layne Staley (RIP), but he fills a big hole that's been missing since Layne's death.

What is it with you guys and putting nipples on the front page now? I don't really mind, but my wife does. As would most bosses.

Argh. One on hand, I'm really glad to see Alice in Chains in Rock Band. On the other hand, I was hoping they'd hold off until the main RB series got the capability for multiple singers.

Alice in Chains is fine. Nothing amazing but they'll do. The only other band I recognize is Breaking Benjamin. That's the music my nephew tried to play for me before I laughed at him and told him to grow a pair.

Yay Breaking Benjamin. I find it odd the have Diary of Jane instead of Until The End. Although both are great, I just believe that Until The End seems a bit more fun to play...Oh well, I have Beats on the psp for that (Lol). Except Dragonforce & various other power metal bands are much more crazy.

Awesome that Unplugged is having new DLC roughly every Thursday. And surprisingly Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. Word to developers: If Koei does it regularly and [i]for free[/b], perhaps you could too. (No offense to Koei. >.<)

Wow. Haven't heard from Kula Shaker in a good bit. Hopefully they throw in Tattva somewhere down the line, if they haven't already.

Now, if some wonderful soul decides to put Yes' Tempus Fugit out there, I'd be really happy.

Ugh. Breaking Benjamin? How could they decide on which songs to put as DLC, they all sound EXACTLY THE SAME.

IE: TERRIBLE.

Kula Shaker tho...there's a blast from the past. Where's PUSA's cover of Knight on the Town?

HELL, where the next PUSA track pack?!?!?
