Rock Band 2 DLC almost ready for Wii ... Nick Chester made me do this story photo

When Rock Band 2 was announced for the Wii, Harmonix promised that downloadable songs would finally be available. It's been a week, but where are they? They're certainly not on any hard drives SD cards right now.

If you're one of the twisted creatures who were looking forward to downloading songs for the Wii, don't fret too hard. The DLC is in the "final testing stages," as confirmed by Harmonix community manager Sean Baptiste. Twenty free bonus songs will be released, along with thirty other tracks, "as early in 2009 as possible."

In addition, it has been promised that Wii owners will eventually get hundreds of songs with the release of the entire Rock Band back catalogue. So sit tight, guys; everything will be okay.

You should kick Nick Chester's ass. It could be a Dtoid civil war.

I wonder how they're locking it to your wii.

I also wonder how long it'll take before someone makes a simple homebrew channel or PC app to copy DLC tracks.

I got Nick's back. I chest press 290. I also have Jim's back.

I would be forced to protect and attack two people at the same time. For Dtoid.
