Tony Hawk Ride may have been met with mostly unfavorable reviews, but now that the skateboard peripheral is in the homes of disappointed children everywhere, it's only logical that developer Robomodo would want to put out at least one more game to make full use of the device.
Similar sentiment was expressed by Robomodo president Joshua Tsui when he said the controller was seen as a platform by the company. And a tweet by Tony Hawk about his next project being "already much better than I expected" with the promise of "details soon" all but confirms this thing is happening.
While we're sort of on the topic of Ride, let's take a moment to look at the above promotional image. A globe? Really? These two must do a lot of exploring on the side. There's also the lack of an actual console, and the dude on the beanbag looks to be more active than the guy playing the game.
This really is the best promo image ever.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
CONFIRMED.
Want a console in the ad?
TONY HAWK RiDE PLAYS ON AIR. SCREW YOUR CONSOLES.
...I honestly wouldn't be suprised if Acti launch a "miniconsole" with it to be honest, bypassing consoles completely. Just to fleece you that extra money.
it's the new peripheral for their upcoming title Drunk Air Guitar Hero, where any ridiculous thing can be pretended to be a guitar.
sry
If that's the kind of ride you get, I'll buy 3.
- Working title: "Tony Hawk: Eat"
- Place your board on your lap or on a table and eat various meals off of it.
- Points are scored for not spilling any of your meal, or "comboing" your meal with a side dish and drink.
- Hardest difficulty: Eating tomato soup with chopsticks. EXTREME.
*lets one rip into the beanbag*
"Dude, this travel ironing board is a bitch to stay steady on!"
Oh well.
