I quite enjoy playing Hopoo Games' action-platformer Risk of Rain, and like most independently-developed games, I'd be happy to see it ported over to PlayStation Vita. That's happening. The list of indies on the handheld grows longer.

"So there you go. Looks like Risk of Rain will be coming to Vita," tweeted Sony's Shahid Ahmad. He is one of the people responsible for signing many of our favorites to PS Vita and he's been doing a tremendous job, in case you hadn't noticed.

With the exception of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Hohokum, I can't really think of any games I'd rather play on the system than this. Score. The Steam version is on sale for $5.99, by the way.

Risk of Rain is worth getting for $3.39 on Steam

One of my favorite roguelikes, Risk of Rain, is running a 48-hour sale on Steam right now. It's currently marked down to $3.39 (66 percent off), which is a price worth jumping at. There's also a four-pack available for $10.19...more

Risk of Rain is my new roguelike obsession

Given my taste in games these days, I should have been able to get into Rogue Legacy. It contains most of the elements I look for in this new generation of roguelikes which may or may not actually be much like Rogue, but for ...more

Review: Risk of Rain

Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was an intelligent riff on the perils of high school -- you know, if you had thrown a murder mystery in between classes and the principal was a maniacal stuffed animal. Its sequel, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, takes a beleaguered trope and turns it on its head. This is one "trapped on a desert island" story that takes things to another level entirely.more

Sign me up for 3DS RPG Legend of Legacy

Legend of Legacy sounded pretty good on paper. Honestly, I'm easy ; they had me at '3DS RPG' already. But look at it! Look at that pop-up environmental effect! That music!  Watercolors! Shading! Big heads! The games' &n...more

Dio in Skyrim: Part 3 - Don't "Taco" To Strangers

In the third part of our ongoing investigative series on what it would be like if heavy metal pioneer Ronnie James Dio was, in fact, a mage in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In this installment, we forget more lyrics, and Max's girlfriend gets home from work, only to find a very special surprise waiting for her. Is it tacos? (Yes. That's exactly what it is.)more
