Mega Man fans are in for one last treat in 2012 -- another Mega Man Christmas Carol fangame! After the first and second iterations, Sprites Inc. is back with a third title, which is a remixed version of the first one with the new engine.

Christmas Carol Remix features five difficulty levels, three characters, new content, and achievements, all on top of a remastered version of the first Christmas Carol. Of course, sick holiday chiptunes make a welcome return.

You can download it for free here -- just be aware that the creator is constantly tweaking the game with balance patches and bug fixes.

La-Mulana 2 aims to be more 'intuitive,' still hard as heck
