Rift: Storm Legion

Rift: Storm Legion dated, pre-order bonuses detailed

Trion Worlds has announced that Rift's first expansion, Storm Legion, will be launching on the same day in North America and Europe: November 13, 2012. I'm not playing the game, and frankly, I don't know how many of you are either, but this trailer is pretty great. I feel like I'm missing out now.

The expansion will come in two forms, a $39.99 Standard Edition and a $59.99 Infinity Edition. (Add $10 to those prices if you're a new player.) The former comes with an in-game cape and early access to the "Exodus of the Storm Queen" dungeon in mid-October, while the latter edition adds a few more items: a Brevanic Portal Generator, a Cyclone mount, and a mini Regulos.

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest was a travesty. It played itself, it was pretty abrasive in its pandering, and the microtransactions were so pushy that it was hard to enjoy it without feeling like you were constantly being sold something. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more
