Just so you know, I hate you for briefly making me think news of a new Valkyrie Profile game had been announced. :|
Wait, you're talking about the same VC2 that sucked away a good 15 hours of my life just on grinding for certificates and diplomas? I won't deny that VC2 is a good game but they need to either improve or get rid of the grinding-for-credits system. Artifically padding a game's length isn't always a good thing.
That said, I'm still looking forward to VC3 (despite the crippling limitations of the PSP). Hopefully they'll actually explore what it's like to be a special forces operations group that was wiped from history, because the more I see of VC3, this hyped up squad of "criminals" seems to just be the same as the protagonists in past games, but in black and red uniforms.

God I've just been finishing up VC1 lately and these anime cutscenes are SO UGLY compared to the stylized pre-rendered 3d scenes that were in VC =<.

after playing the demo, I'd say that VC3 is definitely closer to VC1 than VC2 in terms of overall feel and how it plays, but I still don't think It will be as good as the original due to the inherent limitations placed on it.
