The next best thing to owning a virtual-reality headset is living vicariously through those who do. Thankfully, the Internet has been kind enough to satisfy our lust for entertainment with videos of people playing Mirror's Edgeand even a guillotine sim using the Oculus Rift. This one, from YouTube user ibarakiprefecture, is a new favorite of mine.
He talked a co-worker into experiencing a roller coaster simulation while wearing the Rift and, well, it's a good thing the poor guy didn't knock that monitor over. Despite the fact that no electronics were harmed in the making of this video, it's still a fun watch. In fact, he even tries it again -- "tries" being the operative word -- on one leg in a separate video.
You know you're off to a good day when this is how you spend your morning.
