If you were impressed by Lord of the Rings Online's last expansion, Rise of Isengard, then you're in for a real treat! A new expansion, titled Riders of Rohan, is set to release in the fall of this year. Turbine claims that this new expansion is expected to be twice the size of Rise of Isengard.
There are two major content updates included:
- Mounted Combat: You'll be able to customize your War-steed's armor and level up its skills, though I'd love to see a video to see just how well this combat flows and if it differs enough from regular combat to be worth it.
- Increased Level Cap: The level cap is being increased to a whopping 85. Don't worry! There's also new story and skills content to keep you satisfied during this final leg of the leveling process.
It does seem like a good chunk of content is coming to the free-to-play MMO. No word yet on pricing or exact date, but we'll be sure to keep you updated.

To be fair LotRO is a great game if youre a Free player or if you only want to spend a very small amount of cash(and youre not a hardcore raider)... but as a past subscriber, and for current subscribers too, its a fucking waste of money with constant slaps in the face by Turbine.
