YouTuber rickonami is back in the saddle with an HD-ified intro remake of arcade / SNES shmup U.N. Squadron. Compared to his ridiculously amazing Star Fox video, it's not as polished, the unfortunate outcome of being on a rushed timetable. Nonetheless, his rushed work is leagues ahead of anything I could hope to create.
And listen to the sweet guitar arrangements featured in the video, care of vertexguy and Grospixels. I'm not all that familiar with vertexguy's work, but Grospixels has long been on my radar. I remember listening to them way back in college! I can't believe they're still around kicking up a musical storm!
I never did play U.N. Squadron back in the day, though I don't see why I wouldn't absolutely adore as I do most every 16-bit-era shmup. Does anyone else have memories of this game?
I have fond memories of UN Squadron. I remember watching my dad play this on SNES. It was the only game he ever beat. Hell, I still love playing it. And the soundtrack is amazing. It is one of those all around amazing classic games.
By playing as Greg, you have more health and Micky or Shin. So, by playing as the character with the MOST health and fastest hit recovery, you would be the pussified one.

Me, I roll Shin. Mick has more uses of spec weapons, sure, but Shin levels up that main cannon FAST.
