I really need to start making use of the iPod Touch in my house to play more games from the App Store. It seems that there isn't a day that passes where I don't see some simple diversion that would no doubt suck precious minutes from my already packed schedule. Between that and the fear of nickel-and-diming myself into the poorhouse, I've stayed away.

Yet here I am again, watching another trailer and thinking about how I can pry the device from my significant other's grip. Rhythm Spirits is called a "rhythm fighting" game by its creators, but I can't see how having two people make attacks on one another is all that different from a dance-off. So it's a rhythm game, in my book.

It's a pretty one, though. I love the art style and the music in the trailer is appealing as well. And, since it's only $1.99 in the App Store, there's little to lose. Must. Resist. Urges.

dammit Conrad, now I have to give Apple my credit card number again.
That looks awesome. Brilliant idea on how to make the rhythm genre fresh again, if only for a little while.

Dark Void Zero (the awesome classic Mega Man style game from Capcom) is also marked down to .99c!
