Rhythm fans, check out this trailer for Shield the Beat
Shield the Beat is a rhythm action game now available on Xbox Live Indie Games. Chased through space by enemy ships, you have only your shields to defend you from bullets raining down to the beat of the music (from the likes of Franz Ferdinand and DJ Champion). Each of the sticks on the 360 controller control a shield which blocks either blue or red shots. The trailer makes it look pretty fun, so I'm looking forward to trying it out this weekend on Saturday Morning Hangover. But it's pricey, running 400 MS points for 8 levels of play. That'll probably turn off a lot of people. A shame because I bet it's fun and it certainly looks better than most products in the same marketplace. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Looks kind of cool. Maybe not as grueling as Gitaroo Man though that might not be so bad if the game is fun. If this came to PSN I'd probably give it a shot. I really like the increased coverage indie games are getting on Dtoid. It's been a while since Rev left, so I'm glad that we are picking things back up. Some of those ship textures look suspiciously similar to the ones in Hegemonia: Legions of Iron.
