I could probably write a book on the problems with this game, and considering how hyped I was for it the fact I can be disappointed in it for $4 is telling.
I didn't even finish it, and I think I'm done with it.

Review: Serious Sam: The Random Encounter
The value we see in things is based on what we get out of it, rather than what we put into it. This is true in all aspects of life. This is also why I don’t factor cost into my reviews, because a 99-cent game is too much for a homeless person and $100 is nothing for a rich person. Time is the only investment that matters to everyone.
Serious Sam: The Random Encounter (PC)
It’s a fun novelty that you’ll want to spend an hour with. Yet, at its end, I didn’t want any more and I didn’t care to revisit the game’s Endless Mode. I enjoyed The Random Encounter for the hour or so it lasted, but the fact that I don't want any more pretty much says it all. THE VERDICT - Serious Sam: The Random EncounterReviewed by Allistair Pinsof 7 /10 Good: A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun. Check out more reviews or the Destructoid score guide.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It seems to have captured the Serious Sam personality, and that's enough for me. Also it has steam's usual 10% off on new games PLUS an extra 10% if you own any other SS games, so $3 sounds is not a bad price at all even if I end up just playing it for an hour. Aw man... An hour? Sorry, that's not long enough for me. It's kind of ridiculous for a $5 game actually. I'll hang on to my money. Dangit! I was excited for this one! Damn I was really looking forward to this one but I expected a full length game, not a mini game with an endless mode. I'll wait for a steam sale. When you get all three guys, it's impossible to dodge. So the middle guy always dies. Then the other two guys don't "compress", so it remains impossible to dodge but with a giant gap between your two guys.
