I guess it's all fun and games until you have to review Velvet Assassin, though. haha
There are so many damn mega man games out on the DS :/
uh? So it's good? Maybe this game is the Sacred Stones of the Megaman RPGs, the story in Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones was not brilliant, but the gameplay was very addictive.
I could check it out
mix: unless you count every version of Starfoce there are like 6 games. I don't really that that is too many.
Good review, despite my brain nearly melting from the description of the game's plot.
Did they hit a melon after? Cause this seems oddly similar to something that happens in Battle Network 5.
And yea the game is great, me and my brother have been playing it since it came out, I don't mind the story honestly, its actually a little darker than in the previous Starforce games.
That's good. I mean, while I get the "OMFG really? REALLY!?" sentiment some Mega Man fans might have, I really enjoyed Battle Network's gameplay, and I'm not sure I would have been as receptive of it should it not have had Mega Man as the protagonist.
Even if he is the online "avatar" of some kid who doesn't wear shoes but skates EVERYWHERE he needs to go and the entire game is very Japanese. (Which I'm still fine with!)
It's nice to see SF3 fared well.
never got around to buying 2, but good to see 3 isnt a pile of shit.
Fixed your post for ya Magnalon.
Sorry, there wasn't nearly enough of that in the comments.
I can dig it. I might check this out if I've got nothing better to scope out. What a strange trip indeed for Mega Man...
Battle Network > Classic Megaman
I think anyone who is a Mega Man and/or RPG fan who has ignored the series (Battle Network + Starforce) should pick up one of the entries (doesn't matter which) and give it a shot. If you hate it, well, twenty bucks down the drain, it happens. If you enjoy it though, and it's not impossible, then there are suddenly eight other games out there you can be pretty sure you'll enjoy as well.
Can't agree more.
it was fine.
my bro got the 2 and it was just plain no. wouldn't even let you choose your own name like1!!!!! but after this review i'll get 3 soon!
The best part of all Battle networks is the ending, when you can do whatever fuck you feel like. And getting to the bonus boss, who is usually more of a "serious time" thing. Bass was just perfect as the Secret Area Overlord Boss.
Well except on the games where he was all about "darkness". Seriously, the fuck was that? "I'm the true master of darkness!" and that cookie cutter shit didn't pull me. Can't he exude respect the same way he does in all other games, by simply being the wanderer bastard who battles all the wannabe secret cults of the Internet just to prove he's stronger than fuck all and become stronger along the way.
