I think that's something people have to learn to understand: Just because a game is sold for $1 doesn't mean it should get away with being complete shit. Money is money even if $1 chump change in today's world.
Good review Jim, even if they took a big squat on our childhoods.
Woah. Hold the fuck up just one minute. Ecco was amazing, though the difficulty was at times ludicrous.
Err, yes. I had fond memories of the second game.
These fond memories, likewise of other people's memories of Duke Nukem, are getting tarnished. And one day, we will all ask for payback.
I'm not arguing that this iOS version is any better, but it's actually going back to it's roots not deviating from the platforming prequels like the author mentions.
Also I take issue that it was unfunny "British Humour", this was good stuff, and something unique you would only find in the UK, in a tradition in line with games like Jet Set Willy, Attic Attack and many more. Also the Amiga version to my mind has the earliest product placement I can think of (well at least placement not involving another game by the same publisher) with lots of Penguin Biscuit branding all over the place. In the console versions the biscuits were removed, but Penguins remained!!
How depressingly funny.
The word "fat" must have been used over 10 times and it was for every post Jim made. And the word "fat" is just one of those words that are funny to me.
Him and Scrappydoo should team up that would make my day.
