Earlier today, Destructoid received a strange email from Capcom that contained the phrase "it came from Kijuju" 100+ times and a link to a cool new interactive Web site for Resident Evil 5. Trust us, it'll make more sense once you click the link.
If you've been paying attention to the latest RE5 happenings, you know that Kijuju is the city in which the game takes place. Once you head on over to the site, navigate your candle towards the left and click the giant "1."
Now we're getting somewhere, eh? After clicking the number (password is "refinery"), you should be presented with a neat video that combines in-game and live action footage to set up RE5's storyline. Also, crocodiles 100% CONFIRMED.
The aforementioned video is the only piece of content that has been unlocked thus far, but more will become available as the Web site gets more views.
It's also worth noting that by linking the site to your friends, you can get individual rewards; the top 100 sharers will even appear in the instruction manual credits. Neat!
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
ZOMBIE Crocodiles!?!?
All they need now is lasers mounted on their heads.
Do I detect a pattern here or is this a tip that in case of a zombie apocalypse its safer to live in a city named something like Massacre city...
Instead of Kittyville...I mean raccoons and kittens are cute, anyway just think about it...its obvious...
Cute = death
"Progenitor Virus"
"Sheva Knew"
"Seashell is Evil"
"PG67A/W"
"Raccoon City Wasn't The End"
"Where is OZwell?"
"Flashbacks cant stop them"
That's the only "hidden phrases" I can find so far. They are written on the wall within the scribbles all the way up to number 3.
I remember in Code Veronica that it says the Progenitor T-Virus came from some weird ants or something. Something about a Queen ant? I can't really remember. Either way, nifty new site.
That's ironic, seeing as how some of the gameplay elements of RE5 were borrowed from Gears, also.
A tired argument, yes, but just because some GeoW website had a scribbled wall with a lighter doesn't mean that Capcom in some fashion "stole" the idea. So, next time, how about not screwing up the viewing window by posting large and unnecessary pictures.
Also, RE5 is pretty much the same as RE4 but with co-op and more things to shoot.
Also, crocodiles ftw.
They might have well as named it negropolis.
