Also, wouldn't Passage possibly have more of a direct correlation then a game about an outer space bounty hunter? Not really sure why a comparison is necessary though. No one asks "When will film have it's Super Mario World?" or "When will sculpture finally have its Wagner's Ring cycle?" or "When will pizza have its Death of a Salesman?"
I love the Metroid Primes but this just made my brain go numb. Honestly all I could hear in the back of my head was:

Everytime you walked on screen my laugh got progressively louder and harder. This reminds me of the over-analyzing of Pokemon where Ash is supposedly in a coma and everything after he gets struck by lightning is all a dream. Best rev rant yet!

This is a problem I have with any form of art or any medium of entertainment, or anything really, especially literature. If you try hard enough, you can find anything, including symbolism, plot points, and themes. And if you try hard enough, you can find similarities in any two works.
Let's say I take a bush. Just a regular fucking bush. This bush is an intricate system of leaves and wood. It is an organic, living, almost self-reliant being. The leaves, however, cannot live without the trunk, and rely on it for water and food. The trunk cannot live without the solar energy gathered on the leaves, though it may last longer without the leaves than the leaves would without the trunk. The trunk in this case represents a Communistic dictatorship, giving the leaves, which represent citizens, the things they need. They control how much water, or resources, the leaves can get. The branches represent the police and other government officials, giving the resources directly to those who need it. The citizens, or leaves, do mostly all of the work, gathering the life-sustaining energy, which would represent manual labor and the collection of food and resources. It then gives these resources to the trunk, who then hoards the resources and give the leaves just enough to survive.

The guy was just basically comparing their similarities....if anyone has actually played Metroid Prime here, you know that he wasn't that far off. It is also just his opinion though. People need to relax. o.o
