I love Capcom, because they have always been there for me ever since I began to play videogames.

Question: Do you think that Capcom is the best company when it comes to reactivating old Retro franchises like Mega Man or Bionic Commando?
I, for my part think, that games like MegaMan 9 and Bionic Commando rearmed prove that Capcom knows where its roots are...

Which Capcom franchise would you like to be revived as a downloadable game more: Strider or Final Fight?

Also in connection with Puzzle Puzzle Puzzle, do you know Block Block

Would you agree that Breath of Fire is Capcom's best RPG series? Will you ever do an episode on it's greatness? Can I be on it?

being a huge capcom fan i love all resident evil games
3 is my favorite, what are yours?
also do you feel the resident evil games are moving a bit too far away from the whole "zombie" side of the games they are known for?

I don't have much to say... other than... I need RFGO as I drive to and from work, and 1:30 isn't going to cut it. If you have a show that only lasts 1:30... you better have Chad sing for 30 more mins to make it a full 2 hours.

What do you think about Capcom nowadays? Have they gone downhill or are they still strong in your eyes?
What toher Capcom retro games would you like to see revived, either Bionic Commando style OR Megaman 9 style.

Also, I missed episode 75, so if you have time and the inclination; If everyone had to be a different genre of game, what genre would you guys be? Do you prefer specific games in that genre?

Oh, snap, here comes a flood of questions:

Is Capcom the best video game publisher in existence?

Which is the best series Capcom has been a part of?

What would you rather see: a new Capcom Disney game, a current-gen Strider, or another Little Nemo (perfect for WiiWare)?

Who do you think Capcom's mascot is? Sure, Mega Man is obvious, but it seems to me Ryu, Ken, The Noid, Radd Spencer, and the plane from 1942 should get a say in the matter.

If Mega Man could take the powers from any other Capcom character, who should it be? (can't pick Ryu; he took his powers in the Mega Man X games)

Better LIVE game: SSF2THDR or Supper Puzzle Fighter 2?

Finally, just because I want to see if anyone agrees with me: Is Okami the best Legend of Zelda game in existence?

Capcom has done it all. Name a genre and they've made shining examples of it.

Sooooo many good games!

Are there any Capcom games you'd like to see get a sequel or continuation? I'd love to see a new Rival schools. Or tech romancer. or Power Stone. or Strider. or Breath of fire. or...

Capcom was first to show me that quality games could be distinguished by the reputation of the company that produced it. If it had the Capcom logo, chances are it was going to be a great game.

Ghosts and Goblins' maddeningly addictive gameplay kept me occupied for weeks. The MegaMan franchise reinvented the action platformer. Bionic Commando's brilliant swinging design taught me that jumping was for pansies. Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers proving that licensed games could be every bit as fun as Mario.

And that was the 8-bit era. Don't even get me started on Street Fighter II, a game that I still play religiously to this very day!

About RE:

Do you find RE less enjoyable now that it's become a more serious franchise and less of a B-movie schlock-fest? It was always fun, but the first two installments were awesomely camp, and the series has really abandoned that.

Chad specific question (becuase I'm 100% sure he has played this game): did you like or dislike the bonus genie levels in Disney's Aladdin for the SNES? I think they're garbage levels filled with cheap tricks and annoying design, but my cousin say's they are the best levels in the whole game. What say you?

Also, can you guy's not talk about RE and DMC the whole episode. We all love those series very much and I think we've heard enough about them for the time being.

Ok, actually thought of a question:

What was the first Capcom game that you played that made you start looking for capcom games? Mine was Strider. Loved that game.

And are there any games that stick out as real big stinkers?

Do you guys think we'll see a revival of the beat em up genre thanks to Castle Crasher's success?

Capcom was a pioneer of the genre back in the day. With games like Final Fight, Knights of the Round, Aliens vs Predator, The Punisher, Captain Commando, King of Dragons, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs... there is no reason they can't bring these classics back to the fore front, much like they did with Bionic Commando and Mega Man. What do you guys think?

Also (pardon the non retro question but it is Capcom related.)

Are Capcom's notoriously awful cutscenes forgivable because the games themselves are fun? Or should we expect more from such a big named company?

I would like to thank Capcom for what you may ask? Well me and my brother couldn't get MK2 because, our parents got that OMG their blood in it bandwagon. But we did get Street Fighter 2 for the SEGA genesis, me and my bro love fighting each outer in the game. So thank you Capcom for making a great awesome fighter which I believe is still better then MK2.
By the way, did you get my package for the RetroforceGIVE! Mega Drive, just want to make sure it gets their. I pretty sure it not their yet.

Questions!

- How much do you want a new 2.5D Strider?

- Gargoyle's Quest!!!!!!! I played the two Game Boy versions, and thought they were the most amazing sidescrollers on that system at the time. Huge characters, but still played great! Did you guys ever play those?

- GunSmoke. Its a shmup where you play a cowboy. Looking back, it was ridiculous, and a pretty slick deviation from the traditional shmup airplane/spaceship theme. Anyone?

- U. N. Squadron!!! aka Area 88!!!! One of my favorite shmups of all time! That one mission where you had to dogfight 5 pilots in that huge never ending fly area was one of those amazing game moments from the SNES era for me.

- MEGA MAN!!! No question. Just that.

I've been playing star ocean 2's remake a lot lately, and its made me think a lot about how cool certain parties its impossible to achieve would be for the hijinx it would cause. Does this ever happen to you guys, where you play a game with so many awesome characters that you want to use all of them and either due to game mechanics of recruitment or just size of party you can have, it proves impossible to do so?

What are your impressions on Okami? It is a newer game, but I think it is probably the best Capcom published game (if not the best all around game) I have seen in a while. I actually kind of given up on them a few years ago as just a Resident Evil and Street Fighter updating company, but once Okami came out my view of Capcom totally turned around.

Hey guys! Love the podcast.

I was wondering if any of you had ever played Sweet Home. It was a survival horror RPG for the NES. It came out as a tie-in with a movie that was being released in Japan, but the game itself is actually really really enjoyable if you like early Final Fantasy-esque games.

Deaths are permanent and each character plays a critical role to beating the game!

If you've played it, I'd love to hear your thoughts, if not, what on earth are you waiting for?

- Also, I think Lost Planet needs a shoutout. Its pretty overlooked in terms of games-people-thought-were-awesome, but it is in fact a very righteous experience ( . . . that admittedly is sitting in my "games-I'm-not-playing-but haven't-finished pile. Along with Half-life2 Episode1 and 2)

Hey guys!

I wonder if you guys believe that Street Fighter II is the most copied game ever? pretty much every 2d fighter was based on it, the character archetypes it introduced are still alive and well (fast but kinda weak female, strong but slow guy (usually with lots of body hair), stoic lead character, etc.?

Also

Is Capcom the king of the retro reinassance or what? (Bionic Commando, Street Fighter HD remix, Megaman 9, etc)

1.Capcom used to be the king of good beat em' ups, but the only quality one they put out on last gen was God Hand (that I can think of). Do you think that they'll go back that way one day?

2. What is your favorite Capcom fighting game? I actually find X-men vs. Street Fighter to be my favorite.

3. Why does Capcom let their games be made into terrible movies?

4. Power Stone: Great game or greatest game?

5. Do you think that the success of Mega Man 9 will bring about more retro throwback games?

6. If you could have a sequel to any Capcom classic, what would it be? I'd personally prefer a Final Fight 2-d sequel.

How many of you are Marvel versus Capcom fans?
Don't you think that, with Street Fighter 4 made in 3D and having a 2D gameplay we migth see some old fighting game franchise come back to life in those new format?

And if it's not about Marvel versus Capcom, witch figthing game would you like to see done in that format?

What do you think is the worst thing that Capcom has ever done? For me I'd say it would be the Mega Man Battle Network/Star Force games.

I've been told that the Mega Man Legends games are amazing, can someone tell me why because I've never played them before.

A few questions for the Retroforce crew:

What retro capcom series would you like to see reborn? also how? (xbla, new 3-D game)

What do you think makes Capcom a good company the quality of their games or quantity?

I was think of multiplatforming the other day and it made me think of retro games. Nowadays almost everything expect for the odd series, is multiplatform. Their is almost no point ot have a PS3 and Xbox. However back in the retro days a lot of games stuck to one system one you think of your favorite games they were usually just on one system. Your thoughts?

How has Capcom managed to stay relevant and beloved for so long? They have had huge games in arcades and on practically every console known to man. What is their secret? How are they so successful when it comes to such a diverse range of gaming genres?

I have to give a shout out to Capcom's outstanding contributions to the beat 'em up genre: the Final Fight series, The Punisher, Alien vs. Predator arcade, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, and Dungeons and Dragons.

This isn't the most original question but I'm curious what your answers are: What is your favorite character from a Capcom fighting game? Personally my favorite is lord raptor from Darkstalkers because you can't get any more badass then an aussie zombie who plays guitar and can turn his legs into chainsaws.

Big Capcom fan here (as you might have guessed).

You know what Capcom should be back? They should bring back their old logo chime. That thing was badass!

Questions:

Would it be a stretch to say that Platinum Games is the new Treasure?

Street Fighter III - Yay or Nay?

If Capcom made a new Mega Man Legends game, what system(s) would you want it to be for? 360/PS3 or Wii?

Who's hotter? Poison from Final Fight or Bridget from Guilty Gear?

Also, could you talk more about how awesome God Hand is?

Capcom has been giving us the retro gaming love. I remember one of my first Capcom game was Street Fighter 2 on the Sega. Much better than the NES version. Oh well to the question.

What Capcom games do we hope to see in the future that are either remakes (bionic commando rearmed), tributes(mega man 9), or import (games we never got) the the virtual console, Live arcade, or PSN?

Well, not much the Dreamcast games. But as you said before, retro is all before the PlayStation and Nintendo 64, so by that logic, the Saturn is retro, since it came before those two.
