IT IS TIME. Come forth, dear listeners, and lay your questions upon the anvil of Retro, that we may forge them into implements of MAYHEM. Bring us your queries, your ponderings, your thirst for knowledge, that we may begin to bestow upon you the wisdom of the ancients, then spiral off into a tangent about lemonade or Pogo Balls and forget what we were supposed to be talking about.
The day has arrived. It is time now for our Listener Questions episode. Rules have no place here. Sense has no place here. This is a day of random chatter; a time for absurdity and recklessness. Hit the jump, and FULFILL THE PROPHECY.

Do the members of the podcast play all the time Retro games or do they try to concentrate on certain days?
I for my part have my retro-days on weekend an sometimes I do a retro night, where I only play retro games 'til dawn...
The first was amazing, but Samurai Legend? Not so much... Still pretty cool though, especially the heavy ink cel-shading.
#2. Anybody got the Korg DS-10 yet? I've made a few c-blog posts about my crappy videogame covers with it, but I'm sure someone on this site could take it to the next level.
If Ultros was a guest starring Boss in Boner Quest would he attack you with dildoed tentacles? What would he shoot instead of ink?
that was the worst birthday ever :(
also, hows all the fable 2 gold treating you chad?
hope your a rich playa now :D
dont forget to be evil and kill all the old ladies of fable 2
Do you think that voice acting in modern games hurts the story more than it helps, especially in RPGs that tend to have emotional scenes?
In older games that had no VO, you would always hear the characters "voice" in your mind, so the way the characters spoke was essentially customized just for you. There was no bad acting, because you picked the perfect casting and intonation in your mind, usually without realizing that you were doing it. Emotional scenes in early RPGs never seemed hammy or melodramatic to you (well, almost never ^_^), because you essentially played a role in directing the scene for yourself.
In modern RPGs, I find it hard to take a lot of scenes seriously. No offense to the actors, but even when the acting is good, it often doesn't mesh with what YOU want to be hearing-- and of course, the acting isn't always that great. A major exception to this is a character like Auron from FFX, who was made great by perfect casting and delivery of the actor as well as the writing (at least in the English version), and I can't imagine that character without his voice. However, it seems like there's 1000 awkwardly-voiced characters for every one Auron!
So as a follow-up, do you think one of the reasons you guys go back and play old RPGs is because you experience the story the way you want to, without the filter of acting? Voice acting makes games more cinematic, but there are some advantages to having them be more similar to books that we are losing in the modern era, IMO.
Another question for you guys specifically: How did you get into game blogging? Did you just wake up one morning and say "I feel like blogging about Zelda today", or was there some sort of progression from other journalistic and/or creative writing pursuits?
Have a great show, you guys make my day:).
go for the random questions people! :D
Star is intrigued
Dtoid condoms = best marketing EVER

How do you think the Wiimotion Plus thing is going to work out?
I'm asking because this could actually be an awesome year for the Wii, and thus a good time to capitalize on its potential.
Also, what iconsam said. I think that the PSX/N64 generation is plenty retro by now.
If you could have a personalised picture of any retro character... who would it be?
I'm just wondering is all. Just out of curiosity...
What's the worst old game you ever played that you still love for some reason? I like Dick Tracy on the NES even though a lot of people hate it. Yeah, it gets a bit repetitive, but considering how most licensed games turn out this one was really solid and polished.
Twenty-three is number one! Do you think I'm a traitor?
Maybe a certain aging celebrity with a wacky voice who likes to throw confetti everywhere? You know the one...
If you say my name in the Rip Taylor voice, I'll promise to never bring him up AGAIN. I know Tristero is with me - WE NEED RIP TAYLOR!
Chad, you played it, right?
Amorbis, the Chykka, and especially Quadraxis were some of the best bosses ever!!!
To defeat Chad, you must log into each Wii and load up the WiiWare channel. It will then show a ridiculous title of a WiiWare game, causing Chad to laugh at a supersonic level. With each laugh, The conviently placed glass Chandelier will begin to shake. After Chad has laughed 4 times, the chandelier falls, and crushes poor Ellen. I mean Chad.
What are the RFGO crew's favorite movies of all time?
BONUS: If you could take any retro game and adapt it into a movie directed by Michael Bay(Transformers, Pearl Harbor, all things BOOM) and starring Shia LeBeouf, what would you choose?
Do you think this idea would work? Has it already been done?
Also can I get some good recommendations for original gameboy games? I got all of the classics like Link's Awakening, is there anything super obscure that I should keep my eye out on?
The milk man, the paper boy, evening TV?
Why do you hate progress?
And (the serious question),
Is Alundra worth my time? I have access to a copy, but I dunno much about it. I figure some of you guys have played it!

How did everyone in the cast first meet each other?
Personally I have a whole load of chip tunes tracks that I just stick on random, but I'm interested in what you guys listen to!
After seeing there's a possibility of a Phantom of the Opera karaoke game, what other karaoke games would you like to see other than Disney of course? ^-~
Everyone:
If there were one RPG you could see a remake of like the recent Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy DS games, what would it be?
Also, VEGAS STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKES!
<3 you guys!
In that game you had to eat food in order to fly, and I think you barked at dogs. There used to be a lot of games about eating things. But not so many anymore. Is Fat Princess a return to retro-munching gameplay?
There have always been very few games about barking at dogs, but maybe that's because it's easy to do in real life. If dogs could read newspapers, do you think they'd take over the world?
What part of the robot are you, and why? For example, somebody's gotta be the head to keep everybody in check, somebody's gotta be the arms for the heavy lifting, and somebody's gotta be that sweet, sweet robot ass.
Discuss.
What got you into anime(probably Offtopic)
Earliest memory of a videogame?
Are there any little tics or habits you pick up that are irrelevant to the game you're playing, but make you personally happy anyway?
I've always though Ryu was pretty bad. He fights because he liked fighting and that's that. How selfish is that? Other character fought for family or for the honour of their country but..Ryu he was just a selfish prick.
I miss nights, panzer dragoon, virtual on, hell even fighting vipers
My question is what do you guys think is an acceptable ammount to pay for quality condition retro consoles?
P.S. - I finally got my Zune working again so I can listen to you guys at work again! Hooray!
Is there any retro game that you thought the music for was much better than the game itself?
Keep up the great work
Coiré
Or Corey for sufferers of NPD (Name Pronunciation Disorder). I hear its quite common in Podcast Hosts.
How do you guys feel about the just announced remake of the old Squaresoft Gameboy RPG Final Fantasy Legend 2 [source]?
What gaming companies do you think will do well this next fiscal year despite the economic conditions worldwide based on the lineups you currently know from them?
Do you think that there could ever be a medically mute (as in he has an actual condition)main character in a game(of any genre) that could be well written and unique from all of the other "mute" main characters?
Chad: What shooters have you played since Resistance?
How far are you guys into Persona 4(if at all)?
Also, Chad I'm not sure if you know this, but you have a look-a-like in Rock Band 2. It was pretty amusing to see you singing Ace of Spades, Pretty Fly (For A White Guy), and then You Outta Know, which made me almost piss myself laughing. I swear the resemblance is uncanny.
