I think Zombies are totally played out. Between Left 4 Dead, Plants V Zomvies, World at War....Zombies have entered into Nazi and Ninja territory; they're done to death at this point.
I say we bring the focus back to Robots and Dinosaurs(preferably both). Zombies are dumb. The thought of killing zombies again no longer fills me with Elation.

Why don't Zombies ever finish their meal? You always see the undead walking around missing a few patches of flesh or maybe an eyeball... but they're never picked to the bone. There are starving zombies in China, ya know.

@mo0man,
We decided to pretty much ignore the fact that it was Retro Limbo and just talk about everything. Haha. We get overly excited a lot. :)

Yay my first question I ever asked to a Destructoid podcast got answered! Thanks RFGO crew! ^^

Awesome episode, always look forward to the occasional Retro Limbo. Can't believe there's only been four of them so far!

I'm gonna make a douchey comment and groan at Colette's pronunciation of "foyer". It's foi (like foil) and eh (as in "eh?") not foyer. Again, I know I'm being a douche and I love all you guys and saying foyer is a generally American thing but it's nails on a chalk board for me.

If I were to become a zombie I would probably want to be killed with a shotgun to the head. Stick with the classics.

Wow Romero vs. Raimi never really compared the two before. It's interesting because Romero is more of the classical zombie, where as Raimi is more of a neo-zombieist. His zombies tend to be faster and stronger. But really it comes down to the culture commentary of romero and the slapstick comedy of Raimi.

The discussion about - when you're not sure if a member of your group is infected and reluctant to tell you, totally reminded me of a film called "the thing", it doesn't feature zombies per se, but the eerie feeling of not knowing when someone might go brain eating ape shit on you is perfectly worked into the storyline.

There was also a game (by the same name) but I never got past the first couple of chapters.

There needs to be WAY more games where you play as a Zombie. My ultimate-money target would be a game like Stubbs The Zombie in a free-roam enviroment.

The saddest hit to Zombie Gaming this decade is the seeming death of Possession. That game looked awesome...

:D I thought the very reason you recorded this episode was Plants vs Zombies. And you didn't even mention it

Uh, they did too mention it. They also had the PvZ theme song at the end.

Is it bad that I could tell the exact name of that JAV model from the google image search without any assistance?

It's Yuma Asami.

I'm gonna go kill myself now.

Ack. There`s always a more imaginative enemy/monster a game could use, or a film, then a frickin zombie, singlularly the most unimaginative monster that exists. I think zombie killing is some sort of twisted enjoyment for those with serious issues with other human beings, because, really, you are decimating what amount to retards with leprosy, and thats a bit weird to revel in. Zombies ARE retards with leprosy.
