RetroforceGO!: Episode 6: RPG Geekout photo

Like lightning striking twice in the same spot, Destructoid is giving you twice the podcast pleasure today. Clocking in at length of just over an hour (sorry!), the RetrofroceGO! crew explodes with nerdiness over this weeks topic: RPG Geekout.

We don’t solve any pressing issues or debates this time, we just geek-out hard on our unnatural love for all things RPG.

You guys really hit the nail on the head with the "duo RPG playing". Back in the day I actually played FF6 first in Japanese with a friend who could read it (I didn't have the pleasure) so I was slowly fed the story while controlling Sabin,Cyan or Edgar in the random battles... good times. Awesome Podcast!

Crap... I meant to ask, how is Phantasy Star 3 worse then PS2 or PS4? I ask only because PS3 is the only one of the four games that I've played, and I really enjoyed it's story presentation over the generations. I'm considering picking up that collection now.

PS3's fighting hud was pretty sparse and the story wasn't nearly as gripping as PS2 or PS4. It was also shorter and easier than both those games. The battle system in PS4 is completely different and you can chain techniques so it adds a complete new element to gameplay. Its also prettier. As for PS2, it's an almost flawless rpg. one of my favorite games ever, hands down.
