RetroforceGO! episode 55: Chrono Trigger photo

Finally! Sorry the show is so late this week everyone, there were some technical difficulties. I wish I could say that was a euphamism for something really interesting, but it's not. We can still pretend though, right? Just make up something Chrono Trigger-ish about time travel and dinosaurs and I won't spoil it for you, even though it was really just Garageband crashing and destroying the first cut. Have some highlights while you're at it.

  • Stella Wong returns! Get used to it!
  • Double Dribble speak, because we love you that much
  • Here, have a Slurpee
  • Anthony does something, I wasn't really listening
  • Help wanted: must be sassy
  • Chrono Trigger is awesome
  • Chrono trigger DS will be awesome, too
  • Explosions and bunny rabbits
We could have gone on about this game forever, but had we done that, it wouldn't be finished by now and you couldn't go download it right here.

Uhhhmm, I've never played Chrono Trigger *flinch*

Are there spoilers? Or does that even matter?

Maybe I'll just listen to the first half.

I didn't get a chance to comment on the pre-show post. I wish I would have. But there were so many good questions, and I'm just happy to hear you guys talking about Chrono Trigger. Thank you RFGO!

I'd call you a liar for claiming that Chrono talking on the phone, because he doesn't talk.

Then I remembered that ONE ENDING where he totally said two lines.

So glad GW2 got the praise it deserves, after Podtoid's throwaway and pretty negative bit on it!

GW2 deserves the negativity. Sure, it plays great, but it looks horrible.

I got all the endings! Its not as hard as most people think it is, really.

Dev ending is supposed to be hard to get, but I usually get it by fighting Lavos with only Crono at the begining of a new game+ (Elixir ftw).

Anyways, good times. Though I still wish there was a unique ending for going through the Black Omen.

Since it wasn't answered during the show, to have Magus NOT join your party, you just choose to duel him with Frog when you're given the choice to do so or have him join the party.

Great show though to you all.

I mean, it looks and sound great and all but cheese and crackers . . .

AUGH

know you guys don't want me to yell at you about stuff you didn't talk about but...

WHERE WAS THE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE MUSIC, FUCKERS?

Apologies guys, I just love the soundtrack. You talked baou the soundtrack to Chrono Cross but not Trigger. I got confused and annoyed.

Still awesome podcast though, and thanks for doing my question.

I'm a fan of 600 AD myself. Just really like seeing the differences 400 years can make between then and the Millenial Fair.

No joking . . . my 360 just red ringed as I was downloading Geometry Wars 2 this week. I have been so pumped about all the XBLA games coming out this month. Bionic Commando, Braid, Castle Crashers! For the love of god. I know it's always a bad time to get RRoD, but why now? :(

I gotta say that Geometry Wars 2 is fantastic. The music is amazing as well, plus the little things they add IE King, music contrast inside and outside of the safe zones.

I can't wait until Braid comes out next week. I need moar MS points.

Time to plug my movie, The Life of Ryan REDUX! This was made with me and my roommates, circa 2001-2002.
Chrono Trigger fans should get a lot of the jokes. Enjoy.

This was the first game where I was genuinely suprised when my very simple actions and interactions caused an adverse outcome if I did not pay attention.

Also Chrono Trigger had me sweating in that section with Robo and the factory where you have to traverse those moving walkways. Great show you all, and nice to hear Stella back on the show!

Oh My God!!! My question was the question of the Week!!!...

YAY!

That's so awesome guys... I never thought that was going to happen... so having a Chrono Trigger episode AND having my question to be the Question of the week makes this the BEST RETROFORCEGO! EPISODE I've ever heard...

So to celebrate this event I'm giving you a baby panda!!!
