Well everybody, another Monday is upon and with that, another RetroforceGO! Can you feel the excitement? Me too. Or maybe I'm just over-caffeinated from the gigantic glass of Diet Pepsi that I just pounded. Either way, I'm wide awake and raring to go with this week's show. John "Master" Lee has joined us this week to discuss the past of Hudson and hint at possible futures for the for the company (bring back Bonk, anyone?). So sit back and enjoy your weekly does of retro with our new show. Highlights! - Disclaimer: We forgot to mention Splatterhouse, but another TG-16 show is coming
- Topher finally has pants on :(
- Everyone looks nice in a beret
- Chad and I have the most awesome thrones in the world
- What do you say when f*ck you is not enough?
- I am, in fact, extremely lovely in real life
- Chad's tantrums are so cute, even for a thirteen year-old
- We get on the campaign trail
- Johnny Turbo was a real person? Weird
- Chad's negotiation tactics will nab Colette her Bonk RPG
So there it is, folks, another show to get you thought the week. I would continue to write a little more as I usually do, but the caffeine is wearing off and I need to go grab some more. In the meantime, go here to check our latest show, or just subscribe to us via iTunes. (7-11 here I come!)

yay!!!
Monday's have reason again!
=D!
The best part is that itunes isn't bitchy like last week =).
Checking it out now, 26 minutes in :)
Awesome, the iTunes is working this week! Will listen after work...
YESSS
iTunes no longer hates me. Yay.
Yay iTunes works!
Turbo for the win.
Retroforce is the lullaby that get me to sleep at night
(i mean that in a good way)
iTunes doesn't hate me anymore! Yay!
Blazing Lazers is like the Jesus of shmups.
I still don't quite get the Cammy hate. She's not my favorite character but I enjoy playing as her.
"What do you say when f*ck you is not enough?"
That is fucking gold. Fucking gold.
You can always have more Bonk!
Yay! RFGO always brightens up my day, even if it is night here.
Damn, I forgot to mention Chew Man Fu in the pre-show thread. That game's pretty cool, like Bomberman meets Adventures Of Lolo. Not quite as cerebral as Lolo, but still fun. There are 550 goddamn levels too. Not a bad way to spedn 600 Wii points.
ZOMG Chad as a boss in Bonk . . .
He'd be a dolphin, wearing a huge sea shell
And they'd call him
Chad ConchShellMo
Thank you and good night.
Excellent show guys, the behind the scenes history of the TurboGrafix-16 was very retro-educational; there's so much I didn't know about the system and it has won a lot of respek knuckles from me. Also "There will be blood, and I will drink yo milkshake" had me laughing quite hard at work.
RetroforceGO! makes me love mondays!
\
Magical Chase, NAO! I completely forgot that game even existed.
Awesome as usual guys, good luck in Japan Chad.
You guys forgot to mention Splatterhouse?!
Oh god, my insides hurt. :(
I will be buying that DS Dungeon Explorer remake. If it lets you play multiplayer through WiFi Connect like on the Turbo Graphix, then I will make sure it becomes a new candidate for FNF.
Can't wait to hear more about the Dungeon Explorer remake, I play it on the VC when friends come over.
Thanks for the shout out Dyson! Unfortunately when you did it I was stooped over, looking into a cabinet, and when you mentioned my name I jumped and, ironically enough, "bonked" my head. I think I'll call the bump lil' Dyson :D
"Disclaimer: We forgot to mention Splatterhouse, but another TG-16 show is coming"
There better be!
"Chad's negotiation tactics will nab Colette her Bonk RPG"
Best line ever. Lol.
I have to say Chad that I drove down Hollywood Blvd tonight and did not see you holding out a candle in protest of XBLA. I either must not have driven down far enough or I missed you, or you were too happy about Bonk to run outside.
This was a very informative podcast guys! I never had a Turbo Grafx-16 since it was too expensive. I will have to run out and look for some not roms or VC games to play. It's part of my retro duty ^_^
Curses, not only is work very noisy today but also my iPod ran out of batteries on me (first time that happened! I fail)... Oh well, just have to relisten when I get home.
Not sure how far into it I got but what I heard was definitely one of the best episodes ever. Also I hope nobody saw me after Topher said the milkshake line... Awww, got this huge smile on my face just remembering it!
John Lee made a great guest!
Argh, it's a shame you don't hesitate at all to cheapen a really great title that I'm sure a lot of people worked hard on and are very proud of.
PixelJunk Monsters is an original title. It's not something you can play for free online. And it's damn near perfect.
Oh, and it was made by the guy that made StarFox.
Put that in your retro pipe and smoke it.
(otherwise, great show)
That was just plain awesome!
Microsoft is going to be fired again...
i understand chad. is like a guy for squareenix said "yeah, we´re gonna have a new terranigma and E.V.O"
Topher, pics of your lazyboy ikaruga cockpit! Or if these already exist, just a link. Wanna see! :)
Almost forgot - best revrant yet!
Just finished listening to this. Damn Jon is cool as shit and knows his history even if he wasn't at the company.
Also I am very happy to see the love for Lords of Thunder.
Loved it.
I never get my love for my retroforce memes. (vigo painting, johnny turbo picture) wtfs?
And more guests - adds more to the show, keeps it flowing.
You were talking about Street Fighter on the TG16, but I think Dyson was talking about this:
And Jon was talking about this:
Awesome job- A very focused show. The inside secrets were great! I never had a turbo-G, but with the Virtual Console, it is 1990 again! Bonk rules, those games are great!
Ach yoos are a bunch o wee beaties!
You have finally invaded the Scotland, Glasgow is online and PINGs 4 times.
Taking advantage of my imagination in such a glorious way. I imagine you all as those kids on BMX bandits, who is Nicole Kidman?
Thanks for a great retro-ramble and an invitation to laugh with you - people look at me strange when I bark out with laughter at 8am on the train into work.
Welcome The Mungo (Patron Saint of Glasgow)
