I found a talking Miles "Tails" Prower figure for $4 at Goodwill. That's pretty much the best gaming find I've ever found there.

Quibble: The actual credits for A Link To The Past come after the big character wrap-up and Link returning the Master Sword. However, there's a hypnotic rotating Triforce and a great piece of music to focus your attention.
On that note, I like the music over Star Fox's credits. Oh, and the secret ending in the secret bonus level where the credits go by.

You get major props for mentioning Lunar, Dyson. Most of time I feel as though not enough people have experienced it and its sequel Lunar 2: Eternal Blue causing it to get overlooked a lot in recap lists like this. One thing that I thought was really cool about Eternal Blue (for sort of the reason Chad liked Earthbound's ending) was how Working Designs put in this nice big epilogue where you go around and get your party back together so you can keep adventuring to find a way to travel to the Blue Star.
Also Ghaleon is one of my favorite villains ever just because of how awesome his voice actor is.

Great show guys! Also, I remember getting a tip about the zombie blood being censored, but I don't have a clue what they're talking about. The zombie blood puke torrent in my copy is most certainly red. Glorious, bloody red.

Okay, I've come to the conclusion that Alex's Goodwill is a freak anomaly regarding the finding of good game deals. I've been to 3 Goodwills and numerous other thrift stores and found next to nothing aside from maybe some old Madden games or Genny (LOL) games that no one gives a shit about. We should make a pilgrimage to his Goodwill and find our own fortunes like those before us who traveled to San Fransisco with gold rush fever.
I have been forbidden to use the word "Genny" within 100 miles of Sega Genesis by the rest of the crew :(

It was a sad, sad day in the life of Dyson when he heard that his favorite person in the world, Victor Ireland, was closing down Working Designs. I know he's doing well now, but this Retroforcer shed a slight tear to see an end to such an amazing era.

i was expecting some mention about the ending in super mario RPG, i was awesome. The music, the scenes when they show you what happened to all characters. i played it again like a year ago and i still found it a very fun game, with very nice sidequests, an epectacular use of mode 7.
Yeah, the continuity of the cartoons was different from the comics/(first) movie. In the movies, the radioactive waste ("mutagen") caused creatures to grow huge and become anthropomorphic (initially). The cartoon presented it as when a creature touched the mutagen, it would become a hybrid of itself and the type of creature it last touched. In the cartoon, the turtles last touched Hamato Yoshi (Splinter in the cartoon, Splinter's human master in the comics/movies). So they became turtle human hybrids. Yoshi became a rat, because he had last touched sewer rats. Upon learning of this discovery, the Shredder exposed his idiot punk minions Bebop and Rocksteady (how come punks in comics are always dimwitted?! Wouldn't a politically motivated anti-establishment rebal be seen as a positive rolemodel to children in mass-market entertainment?... Guess not. Fucking establishment!) to a rhino and warthog that he'd stolen from the zoo. And on with the accidental mutation of Baxter Stockman into a fly by similar means (who in the comics was the boss of April O'Neil [who was not a reporter]).
Ahh... to be 11 again! And to think that I often think of the cartoons of my childhood as being far superior to what kids get today. At least we had Batman: The Animated Series. Ah, forget that. TMNT was hot! A talking brain in the belly of a 9-foot tall robot is the epitomy of win!

It was an amazing coincidence that this episode came out around the same time that I finally got around to finishing Skies of Arcadia. What an ending!
Doesn't the name of the world in Super Mario Bros. 2 make sense out of the ending? It's called SubCon, and certainly all of us as dumb kids in 1988 knew what the word subconscious meant, and the name SubCon comes from that.
