What do you get when you combine a Raptor, a 1954 Buick, and a jar of mayonnaise?
Hell if I know. But I do know what you get when you combine Chad, Colette, and Reverend Anthony on a podcast about the PC adventure games of old; you get a RetroforceGO! that clocks in at a whopping hour and sixteen minutes. Adventure gamers rejoice!
Highlights!
- It is definitely not like The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants
- Drop Off is almost as bad as Nightmare on Elm Street
- Learn how to kill an angel and a kitten in one move
- Contest? Oh yes, there is a contest
- Skype is terrible, just saying
- The show's new motto: The more excited we are, the longer it gets
- Hey Chad, what's the Famicon short for again?
- You have died from dysentery
Well, that about sums it up. Check out the free range version of the show over on our
podcast page, or suscribe via
RSS or iTunes.

Dyson, I am your clone! I will be at PAX stealing your Miller Lites.

Damn, I lost last week cuz my comment was sitting in a heap of missing socks apparently. Oh well, THIS is my week damn it!
I'm going to have to start making these harder, eh?
I couldn't care less about the repetition complaints, every one of those first 6 Megaman games are ridiculous amounts of fun.
And how geeky is this? My heart started fluttering when I was mentioned on the podcast. All I have to do now is skydive while playing Dr. Mario on GBA and I will die complete.
Srsly though, I should listen to these when they come out if thars contests though c.c'
*sigh* I am a poser. :)

Nice podcast btw guys (and gal). Hadn't heard the show before, now I also have learned that "Nintendo Family Computer" = Famicon (but I mean, I could have figured it out if I heard said together .. duh!)
Boo hoo, I never got to play Maniac Mansion or Day of the Tentacle. I think I'll have to go back and find them now.
"You ask a lot of questions for a janitor, Roger Wilco."
Ahhh, Space Quest! Oh the memories. I was maybe six or so when I started playing Space Quest 2 and 3, and those games freaking taught me to spell correctly, lest the game not recognize what I was trying to say! Did anyone else also type 'look around' every time they got somewhere new so you could actually figure out what you could interact with? As for the difficulty, it always turned into this thing where I'd get more and more members of my family and friends to try and figure some of that crap out, and we'd all be in front of the old 286, staring at the screen, shouting out suggestions. "Get that plunger! Stick it on the wall!"
Thanks a lot, you jerks, now I want to play them again. And the ones I never got to try.
Yup, played all the Myst games too. I had the notebook you could write in that came with the original game, and I filled that bitch with the most random stuff, writing notes on everything if I thought it would help me. I needed guides now and again, but I think I did alright.
As for Monkey Island, I got into the series when 4 was near to coming out, so I bought #3, and it came with a CD that had both 1 and 2 on it. So I played through 1 up to 4 within the space of a few months. It was nuts! And awesome.
Then I played Grim Fandango, and.. well, I could never say enough good things about it, so I won't try. It's the best game ever. At least the best adventure game ever.
