Our beloved .Tiff was kind enough to point me in the direction of this amazing new oki-ni 8-inch Dunny, which releases Sept 6th in a limited run of 1000 pieces. She and I are obsessed with all things vinyl, as we may have mentioned in our previous posts. Retro themed modern toys are like the perfect marriage of geek love and obsessive-compulsive collector syndrome. Best part of these lovelies is that you can buy your own blank ones and paint to your heart's content. Creating your own theme has become extremely popular and has urged some fantastic art out of the woodwork, not to mention driving a lucrative subculture -- some custom Dunnys sell for thousands of dollars apiece. Someone really should whip up a Big Daddy Dunny, if it hasn't been done already. I'd make it myself, but I can't paint to save my life.
