I swear to geebs if this is another anniversary collection I'm going to shoot myself in the foot. They've already suckered me into buying one for the Saturn, GameCube, 360...
Now that I've had a chance to get into Sonic 2 again I'm a little more interested in some old school Sonic. A recent playthrough of Sonic 1 left me wondering if Sonic's games were ever a good time. Now I remember why I like em.
It's kind of like sonic went to past to meet him self when he was younger.. If you catch my differt not so much meet the old sonic.. I wish it was more this way not old meets new but past meets future..
I honestly find the smaller, pot-bellied Sonic to be much more endearing. I'd call this a step in the right direction, if I weren't wary of a repeat of the Sonic Cycle for the umpteenth time. Still, nice to see Retro Sonic in 3D.
Sega and Sonic Team are freaking masters of getting people excited for a new Sonic game. I told myself I wouldn't be interested in the next one after Sonic 4, and yet here I am!
Now I can't escape the idea of Sonic having a son. Gosh dammit.

@Monodi And yes you are right Sonic Colors did break the Cycle cause it was actually a GOOD Sonic game...Sonic unleashed did as well....but only during the Day time Levels...

@JohnApocalypse It's going to be both, probably. Japan get's Robotnick; everyone else gets Eggman. I know it's ironic, but this is Sega dealing with Sonic: it's gonna get weird
Sonic Colors was competently mediocre and Sonic Unleashed was crap. And the sound effects in this trailer are irritating.

I'll agree with ScrappyDoo that the sound effects in the trailer were irritating, however once that classic style Sonic came on screen I stopped caring. He is ADORABLE.
Congratulations SEGA you finally managed to make a CG Sonic that doesn't look like an arrogant prick and is adorable enough to make billions of dollars selling merchandise. I mean sure it only too you like 12 years to do it but ...better late than never.
