Retro games with a propaganda poster twist photo

Artist Steve Thomas has created some clever vintage propaganda posters all based on classic retro videogames. So far, he has tackled six games with a poster based on Galaga, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Joust, Dig Dug and one other game I can't put my finger on because I'm not old. I don't know, Tron maybe? This one makes me think of Tron.

Anyway, Steve has larger versions of all the posters over on his personal blogspot. Check them out!

Well, at least these aren't any more of those damn simplistic posters. Those were cool, for about 15 seconds.

Here's hoping this doesn't get out of hand, either.

I love the old style propaganda posters and this computer games twist works really well. I think the propaganda style was as much to do with the quality of poster printing at the time as it was any pre-determined stylistic choices, but they still look cool.
