Retro Game Crunch

Retro Game Crunch is a frenetic love letter to classic gaming

4:00 AM on 05.21.2014

Retro Game Challenge was one of my favorite DS games when it released because it allowed me to bask in my love of a simpler time in a new and inventive way. Retro Game Crunch is a Steam release that looks to do just that, with seven different games featuring an 8-bit aesthetic that range from puzzlers to arcade platformers.

"Wub-Wub Wescue" sounds particularly intriguing, because it features a pug (sorry, not a corgi) trying to escape a jungle with dubstep references? Lord, help me, I just can't stand dubstep, so I hope you have to fight some sort of dubstep monster or something and rid the world of its foul qualities once and for all.

Also, I think I'm gonna check this game out. It's on sale for $11.99 right now on Steam, 20% off for a limited time. Long live retro gaming!
