Retro City Rampage merch galore, free and otherwise photo

I just got a new preview build of Retro City Rampage a few days ago, and it's so packed with new stuff, I can hardly believe it. Some of you may have written the game off as a "80's kid" only affair, but you'd be wrong. The 80's stuff is definitely in there, but the game also features appearances from modern day videogame characters, 1960's television icons, 90's cult movie heroes, funny looking videogame bloggers, and so much more. You can get a glance at a few of these references in the new downloadable Retro City Rampage poster that was released today. You can grab the full poster here, along with a digital version of the Sega Master System-inspired Retro City Rampage box art, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Free stuff is great and all, but if you really want to experience full-on Retro City Rampage merchandise euphoria, you'll have to drop a little coin. VBlank games has teamed with the guys at FanGamer.com (co-creators of the Mother 3 translation patch and handbook) to create a special Retro City Rampage pre-release combo pack; a physical print of the poster above, two t-shirts, and button set, all for a measly $40.

As soon as I get paid, I'm all over this. Supporting Fan Gamer and Vblank just feels good. Getting a t-shirt and a button that prominently features the NES Zapper is just the icing on the cake.

I hate how I feel I don't need anymore shirts and then this releases. God damn you, Fangamer.

As cool as this is I just want to play the game already! Then if I like it I'll decide if I'm fan enough to buy some merch.

Not sure about droppin the 40 bills - but that shirt is so sweet.

However, I am MOS DEF down for dropping X amount of Microsoft $ on this game for when it comes out. Been all over RCR since Day 1.

I'm like all those drooling shmucks that got Nintendo to jack up the price of the 3DS pre-launch. Go ahead, Provinciano - name your price: TAKE MAH MONIES!!!

as someone who did not grow up on 16-bit games -- all purposefully retro games look meh to me and their music slightly headache-inducing. -_-

S'okay wyngz - they have these "demo' things nowadays.
Basically - you can try the game for free, and if the game induces a brain aneurysm or your eyes start to bleed out or whatnot - IT'S ON THE HOUSE!!!

*medical expenses are probably not covered.
