Resonance of Fate: Screens, JP release date, soundtrack photo

I'm all over End of Eternity, Sega and tri-Ace's upcoming role-playing game. It'll be called Resonance of Fate here in the US. Either way, I was blown away by its slick look and crazy battle mode at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Today the Japanese release date was announced: Janurary 28th, 2010, for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. In celebration, the official webpage has been updated with plenty of goodies, including more pictures, details, and some video.

As a preorder bonus, a soundtrack called Resonance of Sounds will be given out. It includes ten songs by composers Motoi Sakuraba and Kohei Tanaka. What little bit I've heard of the soundtrack is outstanding, so this would be nice to have.

Enjoy some new screenshots below while we patiently wait for our US release date. Also, check out Reanbell in cat ears. Love it!

Next year is going to kick ass for RPGs! Hopefully there won't be a huge gap between the Japanese and U.S. release dates.

The first thing that I though of when looking at these screens was Parasite Eve and I do believe that is a good thing!

Is anyone else really REALLY reminded of Shadow Hearts when they see this?
I'm very excited if this can be similar, with the dark atmosphere of the first, minus the comic relief of the second and third.

Ugh, another generic anti-RPG comment by someone who has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

I own enough tri-Ace games to know I don't want to own anymore tri-Ace games. Always pretty to look at, but filled with generic character cliches, stale dialogue, and the same boring plot you've seen a thousand times before.

Kind of like most JRPGs of the past several years.

I'm completely over jrpgs, but this one, if only for it's excellent character design, has me interested.

The fact that the battle system is a bit more complicated than "me sword that" is nice as well. fingers crossed!

I didn't get to play Valkyrie Chronicles since I don't have a PS3, I'll be keeping an eye on this game.

Definitely excited. This could be Tri-ace's best game in years. If you ask me, it's the only JRPG capable of standing up to Final Fantasy XIII.
