Bravo for not rushing a review for the sake of it. We here appreciate that sort of integrity. It's why so many of us stick around for so long.
i have no idea how joystiq could give this game a 9(i can understand how IGN could, since they're complete sellouts and 90% of the time if publisher won't pay for advertisement their game gets trashed there).
4 hour long singleplayer with lame boss battles and no difficulty(why would they make game with no regeneration when almost every single enemy drops medkits?). plus, supposedly horrible ending. i've already seen numerous reviews from gamers got the game earlier and they say it's either trash or disappointment.
now its, DLC this and addons that. pretty soon you'll just be buying the right to play the game. and just like those old nintendo arcade machines, you will have to pay for gameplay 3min at a time. or a 1$ for every life. hey wanna play single player? thats an additional 10$ on top of buying the game.
I have played a bit of the MP today and I'm definitely digging it. There's quite a bit of variety here. Review by the week's end, if not sooner.
Also where are you finding these "gamers who got the game earlier"
Let me guess, one of them is your brother?
Please! Don't talk of any more nonsense!! Didn't ya know that Sofik becomes very suicidal when a game outside the Xbox 360 is actually good?
It's very true! His "brother" even told me so.
Is Insomniac making all the DLC for Resistance 2 free like they did with the original when the sequel released?? That'd be awesome of them if they did (though would potentially cannibalize sales so I don't expect it). I bought all the map DLC for R2 but never got the chance to try it out since so few people got it as well.
gamers how a game ranks/compares to it's contemporaries and whether it's a worthwhile experience to seek out.
I guess since I don't really trade in games for me ro purchase a game at full retail it needs to a substantial experience in both quality and quantity. Maybe (for me) a hypothetical 4 hour game might not be worth $60 but at $30 it's a must buy. But I know for some experience is king and other attributes less important. Different strokes.
"Since I don't really factor game length in when I consider an experience (sorry, a great game can be 15 a minutes long; a shit game can be 40 hours), whether you see that as a negative is up to you."
The multiplayer is just awesome. I don't normally like online multiplayer. I appreciated uncharted 3's beta, climbing was great, killzone 3's multiplayer wasn't for me, i only play halo locally, but i really liked playing the resistance 3 beta.
I keep hearing different times for single player. This is the first i'm hearing of 4, i usually hear 8-10, some say 6.
Now then, let us not abbreviate "you". It is only 2 more keystroke and there is no need to worry about space limitations in the comments.
If you would only take the time to proofread, we could avoid your typiscal campaingn of horrendous typing
Is there any chance you'll test how this works with Move? I don't really care about games designed for motion controls, but I do want to know about how it's being implemented as an alternative controller in core games.
You're a true gentleman, the little guy needs a guiding hand, not ridicule.
Oh, and on that note, I had copypasta for lunch and it was delicious!
The average critic and gamer seems to enjoy it according to Metacritic, but I guess all the 41 critic reviews and user reviews were all just fanboys right?
On a side note, I won't be picking this up, played the first one and didn't really saw an appeal to see the rest of the franchise. Looking forward to how Overstrike plays out.
