The attack of the assets continues with some brand new renders courtesy of Resistance 2. This first person sequel is looking pretty tempting with its ambitious sense of scale and War of the Worlds-themed backdrop, and if you're similarly intrigued, then check out these renders, showing off a selection of vehicles, as well as some Chimera hybrids being suitably ugly.
Who's excited for this game? The first title failed to generate a huge fan following and now that Resistance isn't the only thing on the PS3's menu as it once was, it's going to have to step up to compete against the likes of LittleBigPlanet. The premise is interesting, and it could be a great exclusive franchise for Sony, so here's hoping the sequel generates the praise that the first next quite got from gamers.

This one is looking fantastic. Lets hope it's more of a batman sequel than lostboys - and I'm talking dark knight, not that penguin shit.
I think it has a pretty damn big following. I mean, over 3 million in sales is pretty significant, especially for a PS3 launch title.
The game was, put simply, an extremely solid FPS experience.
It had very fun gameplay and a "play it how you like it" style of running and gunning. The story wasn't half bad either.
I highly recommend it, especially at GH pricing.
Almost 1 out of 4 PS3 owners have the first game, that's a very solid attach rate. Not sure where Sterling is pulling his facts to base these opinions from.
That's because it was 1 out of 4 PS3 games available at launch.
with mildly interesting alien weapons, that is the only part good about the game.
Resistance 1 and 2 look like crap. Low res jagged crap it's no Crysis, hell it's not even the PC version of unreal tournement 3..
you can only go up from Resistance 1 and ya i only bought it because there was nothing else.
Even all this time after there is not much, I just bought a ps3 to play ratchet and clank/ jak daxter anyway.
now screw this game I rather have LittleBigPlanet.
All console FPS people like is like playing a 10 year OLD pc FPS.
it is like going back in time to a place where dedicated PC servers did not exist and people got excited about deathmatch and capture the flag.
it is so cute to watch the console youngin's online for the first time, it is like watching them learn to walk.
