If you’re over 18, have a PlayStation Network account, and are excited about the opportunity to bust some alien heads in the 1950s, then Insomniac may have the beta for you. Starting today, Insomniac is accepting applications for the Resistance 2 limited beta that will go live this October.
Signing up is simple and after submitting the application via the official website you won’t have to worry about cutting your hair or passing a urine analysis. In fact, the process is fairly painless and requires only a few questions answered.
The bad news is that not everyone who signs up for the beta will be granted access, as is the nature of a limited beta. People who strike gold in the process will be notified via e-mail about their participation at an unknown time.
What are you waiting for? Go sign up and tell me the first thing that you’ll do if you get the chance to explore Resistance 2 early.

Did you know that there are only like 30 people on at any given time on this beta? It's kinda lame as when all the lobbies are full I DO NOT want to start up my own little room and sit idle waiting for others to join as the amount online is sooo small it hurts.
So far the Beta seems slow when compares to the first Resistance, especially the multiplayer aspect. Co-op is fantastic and I really enjoy blasting tons and tons of baddies in the face but the over all pace still seems a tad slow, even when sprinting. I hope they change this in the complete version.
Also little tid bit here is the file's called "Girl With A Stick" for somereason....so I assume when I launch it it tells people that name rather than Resistance 2.

....for the beta prohibits the following:
Capturing and posting game footage online.
Capturing and posting screenshots online.
Discussing the private beta in any forums other than MyResistance.net's beta-specific boards.
I did not see those rules until I logged into the forums like 5 minutes ago.
No videos for ANYONE...lol
