The latest trailer for the Wii-exclusive Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles is about as unsurprising as trailers get. Zombies? Check. Hounds from hell? Check. Soaking wet zombies crawling out of sewer water? Done and done.

Then there are our good friends Claire, Leon, Steve, and -- as if we're supposed to act shocked -- Ada Wong. The gang is all here.

But as familiar as it all looks, it's hard to argue that The Darkside Chronicles doesn't look damned good. Resident Evil fans, and those who enjoy shooting at monsters and other assorted beasts, should be in for a treat. That is, whenever it comes out. Could be this year; could be next. Let's be patient, shall we?

"Great. Another cheap scare."
lol.

Is that a different, equally irritating voice actor for Steve?

Pfft, I don't see "Claire" and "wet" in the same sentence, so I already feel slightly disappointed. And why is Steve in there? He was annoying from what I recall in Code: Veronica, I can't imagine how much worse he's going to be here.

Also, when is Capcom going to do more stuff with Rebecca, she's a character I like and I hardly get to see her nowadays But hey, I get to shoot zombies, fun will likely be had.

Color me impressed. I'm a bit confused though. Are you playing as a camera man, or is the cameraman following your character and during any shooting sequence it would have the character your actually playing as off screen?

The game looks beautiful. It's way more polished and stylized than Umbrella Chronicles. Seeing your partner character turn and run or look around corners with fluid, realistic movements is great.

I loved UC but I think this is going to blow it out of the water...just how I'm going to do that zombie.

it's on rails, so it will never, ever be a top tier game. simply not possible. It would be a like a horse winning daytona. But it's on wii, and it's the only way to push the shoddy wii hardware to display even remotely decent graphics.

wii = fail in every way.

That said, I'll probably still rent it cos it is RE. I'm a sucker.

It's hard not to imagine you as a pimple-infested fat-ass with a bunch of anime statues on his shelf and his virginity intact. The irony being that while you clearly think that you're intelligent, you're likely just about as close to being retarded as humanly possible, while still being able to function well enough to fool people into thinking that you're not the kind of drooling moron that would put his dick in the vacuum cleaner repeatedly because he forgets that he's not supposed to every time he does it.

I mean fuck dude, the Wii=fail, right? Yet you own one. Since gamers define themselves by their possessions, that would make you a simpering half-wit, and a failure of a human-being to boot. Right?
