There's no real way to hate this game, it even has brunette Jill, hell they give her an RE3 costume change and it just might be the best "actiony" RE of all
i didnt see much that was spoiled to me. i was expecting some crazy cameo or something. what i saw didnt spoil anything since its so fragmented. i saw no semblance of a story of any kind lol so im still very excited.

I hope this game doesn't have the non-eraseable saves like Mercenaries. Looks amazing, but I just don't want to support that practice. Don't hate me please... my sis and I share our DS and it helps to be able to use different saves for Mario and Luigi RPGs/Professor Laytons etc. (anything story-centric).
I'm still not convinced by it. It's nice that it's got more of the ye olde RE flavour than the last few console titles, but it's still not what I really want. No proper zombies. The knife is useless while the shooting empowers you far too much.
On the other hand it's great to have Jill back, it's nice to have puzzles to actually work out again rather than the collect-this-emblem-stick-it-in-this-door-to-open pointless rubbish that was in RE4 and 5 and it's nice to be back in cramped corridors.
It's one of those times when a game is so close to perfection any small problem it does have seems three times bigger than it probably is. Either way, I'm just not 100% sold on the game.

To be fair I havent tried the demo, but Resident Evil is on shoddy ground after 5. Say what you will about it, there was stuff to like, BUT it was flat out not scary....thats a pretty huge failure. Halo 1, when the flood were introduced, was scarier than that whole game....that is unacceptable. I think that game companies should start considering that whenever they make a sequel, peopel get more familiar with your subject matter, so perhaps they should start upping the scale (and no, that doesnt just mean bigger monsters. weak) ou can do better capcom, i (want to ) believe in you
Its a great demo and will most likely be a great game. I just really suck at ammo conservation and shooting moving things in the head without a second analog. The controls are great without the circle pad pro but its a little unnerving for me.
My sour grapes? There are a ton of great games coming out in the same month, so i'll be renting this. Also, Revelations Gold Edition could be 6 months away.

Moving while shooting is not unrealistic. Its part of advanced training for most military and law enforcement around the world. Even shooting competitions have some move while shooting contests, so does the game show Top Shot.
I dont care if RE never incorporates move while shooting techniques (although they are in ORC), but saying those techniques are unrealistic is just wrong.

Kids, there is a lesson to be learned somewhere in all this. All you have to do is pay attention and stop being impatient and so goddamned peer influenced with every decision in your lives.

i love how holmes uses passive aggression to make points like a jerk without being an actual jerk. kudos to you, good sir, it is indeed a lost and difficult art form.
also, just to be contrary, i'm not playing this because barry isn't a main character. also, it's on that one system that i don't (and prolly never will) own.
okay, so i might give it a shot on its 3rd or 4th iteration when it comes out next year. the one that has all the hardware they are currently frankensteining on to the current model. prolly better battery life too.
i'm not trying to be a dick either, i got a ds back in the day super excited to play all the castlevanias and other 2d goodies. i've probably logged a months worth of time total game time on that entire systems generational cycle however. i guess that i;m just maybe not one of "those people?"

my one nitpick, the obviously downsampled audio. You don't notice until playing with headphones that all the voice clips are very very low quality
There is another reason why someone might own a 3DS but not want to buy this game, or any Clapcom game. Can you guess what it is?
to be honest, the graphics are not that great. look at those jigged low res textures and lifeless static shadows. Plus I can't really tell if the game would be good or not, demo is toooo short. finished it in 5 mins.
Parker and Jill's lips didn't move when they talked after you get off the elevator...and scanning yields a LOT of ammo. Hell mode wasn't hard when you can scan for a crap-ton of ammo.
But I am very impressed with this demo. I'm a long time RE fan and it's nice to see some of the atmosphere of the originals back. Looks like this game will be the first legit killer app for the 3DS...and no, MK7 and SM3DL are not killer apps.
And Nintendo gets bragging rights for at least a weak for having the best looking portable game released on their system! Then...Uncharted will come...
