Resident Evil: Degeneration gets a December release date photo

While we still have a while to wait until Resident Evil 5 will occupy our every waking moment, some may turn to the CG film Resident Evil: Degeneration to sate their thirst for all things RE. We knew the Blu-Ray release would be packed with cool features, but not when it was coming. Now, it's for sure that you can enjoy it before the new year.

The film will be released December 30th and will retail for $39.95. It actually makes its Japanese debut at the Tokyo Game Show this week, so if you keep your ear to the ground you will likely be able to hear some initial feedback before you check it out yourself later this year. More zombies please!

Back in 2002 i sat in a 8 seat simulator in a Tokyo that was and interactive Biohazard [Resident Evil] short CGI film. It was ok but nothing special, I doubt this will be either.

$39.95 for a fucking zombie movie? A zombie movie with pretty awful CG? No thanks. I'll be grabbing Dark Knight on Blu-Ray instead.

I'm not holding my breath for this. It's not like the Resident Evil guys are good story tellers. I mean, sure. Resident Evil has always been a fun/scary series, but let's not forget Resident Evil 4's awful acting and ridiculous story.

$40 for a blur ray movie?

I love Resident Evil but I'm not paying $40 for a movie.

god you guys are fucking morons. thats the MSRP...every single disc blu ray is always listed at $39.99, that doesnt mean that's the price you'll be paying at the store.

Since it's a sony release the most that is charged for new releases by the store's prices is around 21-25 bucks.

@ monosylabik

I've never seen a regular Blu-Ray ever listed above $29.99.

Even still, this movie is probably worth around $10.

I'll be checking it out, its gotta be an improvement on those awful RE Jovovich vehicles.

I hope sales go well as I'd like to one day see a RE anime series, especially after the DMC and SF animes.

@vexed

you should shop around a bit more. I havent paid over $30 (unless it's a television show) for a blu ray since I bought my ps3...and my blu ray collection is massive.
