I don't know what to think of these prices, I suppose they aren't expensive but neither are they cheap, the release date however is probably the worst thing about these games, why would they enter such a crowded time? These would of sold like hot cakes during the summer, particularly for those who haven't played them before, fewer people are likely to take the chance when there are so many other titles coming out in such a short space of time.
Wait, they are 2o bucks EACH? I just bought re4 for ps2 brand new for 10 dollars...its a great game, great enough that I re-bought it, but the price tag is a bit steep...oh, and fuck capcom.

Because clearly release prices should match the prices of a game he bought three years after release in some dingy, out of the way Walmart. I mean, duh.
As far as this goes, I'll be biting at RE4HD and passing on CVX. RE4 looks a lot better with the improvement, and CVX just looks like a polished turd instead of a regular turd.

OH DAMN. I thought this was a retail bundle. I dont buy digital. So i guess ill miss out. For small Indy company's I understand. But I'd rather capcom released this as $40 retail.

NVM I read the clarification. Never knew it was gamestop that said it. Reports made it look Like capcom announced so at comic con. Looks like I'll be importing the Japanese ps3 bundle

I love both games so I'll pick them both up. Pretty reasonable considering the content your getting.
Really bummed if they're not coming to retail, but I'm still buying. I guess I can retire my Dreamcast copy of Code Veronica, now.

Would want it on PC if not for the fact, that Capcom would clearly have GFWL there. But a proper PC port would've made these timeless
@Jawmuncher Does the import have english subs/voices/menus? I would get that if so. I imported the asian Siren to get it on disc for PS3.

I can play RE4 now on my Wii - it doesn't look that much different.
I've not been impressed with most of these HD versions of games from other or prior systems. Plus I have this thing about needing Wiimotes for RE4 and No More Heroes and Playstation Move costs too much.

Let's just hope people get CVX and realise what a great gem that game is, it's the proper Resident Evil 3 in my book, where as the "real" Resident Evil 3 pretty much was Recycled Evil 3 + Nemesis.
Code Veronica is a classic, but those screenshots look awful. Like everyone else is sayin, I'd get these on retail, but not DL.

I'm getting an itchy-tasty feeling that this whole thing is Capcom's attempt to feel out releasing games in the west (at the very least) digitally so they can start moving away from the publishing costs of disc based games.
Most of all I really don't know how I feel about that feeling on so many levels, for so many reasons.

I gotta say these "HD" collections are underwhelming. It seems like devs are only upping the internal rendering resolution while leaving the textures and lighting untouched.
Ironically I just picked up Code Veronica for Dreamcast at a small local used game shop for $1.99 yesterday.

Super stoked about Resident evil 4 on the ps3, no so much about code veronica. I'm actually glad they are splitting them up for a digital release, and I don't have to leave the house!
The Code Veronica update just looks lazy. At the very least they could have used the Darkside Chronicles character models.

I've written on my destructoid blog on how Capcom seems to be as aimless as ever with rehash of games that have already been released (the street fighter franchise, Marvel vs capcom 3 and ultimate edition for examples) It seems to me that they are trying to get their act together but can't make any money out of thin air so they'll re release games with HD treatement. Not a bad idea, but even with HD treatement, those game prices are pretty steep. RE4 was asesome but not without it's flaws, and so was Code Veronica.
