Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero ships Dec 1st photo

Missed Resident Evil Zero on the GameCube? I liked it. But I think I would have liked it more with Wii controls (and I don't say that everyday!).

Capcom's reworking has been in the cards for awhile, but today we finally have a release date and price. Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero will ship on December 1st, priced at $29.99.

Now you can get some backstory on the Umbrella Corp and play this classic with some waggle. Sure, you could go to the used game store and get the GameCube copy for about $10, but what fun would that be?

I'll just replay it on my Gamecube discs, but its definitely worth it for anyone that missed out on the game the first time around. The controls, single disc and my strange compulsion to buy things new would definitely have me buying the Wii version over a used GCN copy.

It's really good, as long as you're open to a very different game than RE4 and RE5.

Considering that the only apparent change is waggling to ready a weapon, this is not worth $30 at all. Even the New Play Control games went father than that for the same MSRP.

Essentially, it is a straight port.

I'll only get it if you can make Becky Chamber's chest bounce by shaking the wiimote.

What is it with the Japanese and tribal tattoos? Didn't they get the memo?

The RE4 re-release on Wii made sense because it's a fully 3D game, so they could actually introduce new gameplay mechanics with the Wii controls.

Though REZero is a pretty game, it's still technically a flat, "2D" game. They still could've introduces a point to aim mechanic that just swivels your character around to aim in a stright line towards where ever you're pointing on screen, and that would've been nice, but not really game changing enough to rebuy if you own the GameCube version (like me).

When I first heard about these games, I thought they'd be in a two-pack, not two full-priced rereleases with absolutely no content added in.

having purchased archives for RE1 and already owning the GC versions, i can say it's NOT worth it(capt. obvious) No graphical touch ups, NO WIDESCREEN(4:3 mode- you can stretch the picture on your TV - WTF?!), No extras

pass.

Man, these re-releases that don't at least make it widescreen are wild. Does anyone know if it is really tough to do that or is Capcom being particularly lazy with these?

Becky's so cute.
I'd rather see a new RE game with her and Barry in it.

@gatsby actually this game was made for the gamecube, it wasn't a remake then.
