Resident Evil 6 is going to be announced tonight, but who needs official confirmation when we have GameStop to leak it for us? Promo stands were put out too early in one store, and they've revealed both the logo and the release date of November 20.
Current gossip suggests that Resident Evil 6 will have Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield cross paths as playable characters. Exciting stuff! More details should be apparent tonight, so stay tuned until then.

The demo itself seems pretty solid, it feels like a cross between old and new RE in a Mario 3D Land kind of way! I also liked that they've got Japanese Audio! Only thing I didn't like was the sound effects but I get the feel they did the best they could with the 3DS Cartridges they had...
Can't wait! I've always been a fan of the older resi games, but I did learn to separate them once resident evil 4 hit, so action oriented, or survival horror action, doesn't matter, bring it on crapcom.
Until I know what TYPE of Resident Evil game this is, I'm nothing more than curious. I liked RE4, but it wasn't a survival horror game, and I can't even touch RE5.
I'm more surprised at the amount of support here. I thought RE5 was so bad that it would diminish excitement for a sequel, but that doesn't seem to be the case, and I'm in a smaller minority than I thought..
Judging by the picture of the 6, this next game will take place on a giant spider planet where webs are used for communication. The t-virus has mutated after being launched into space, and the giant alien spiders that became infected opened up a wormhole to earth, selectively pulling all the major characters of past games through.
Our only hope is that this ragtag group of sexy misfits can make their way to the spider queen before its too late.
It's coming out in November? I think somewhere in October would be better for that scary time of the year you know but it will have some competition thats for sure

Not yet. I can't imagine Capcom not trying to get this game on as many platforms as possible. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an eventual "Resident Evil 6 is coming to the PS Vita" announcement.

I've beaten RE5 like 12 times, so in that extent I'd agree. I can appreciate RE4 though, I've beaten it like twice and it was amazing both times, I just had a lot of fun playing co-op and unlocking everything in RE5.

Also I agree I loved RE5.
It gets to much hate since it was slightly more action oriented.
Though IMO I hope this is a good middle ground. Don't sacrifice all the action, but do try and throw in the scares. RE3 was a good example of that.
The only rumor floating right now I'm unsure about is Ada being the villain. Since she's never been 100% evil.
Also it would be cool if this tied up all the loose ends of the re series much like mgs4 did.
