Resident Evil 5 screens suggest violence could play a large role in the game photo

There’s nothing worse than a bad case of malaria or being attacked by a mammoth crocodile. I’m guessing since Ubisoft went the malaria route with Far Cry 2, Capcom isn’t going to introduce the disease in Resident Evil 5. Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was squeezed into the story. We are talking about a game that has both zombies and screwballs equipped with chainsaws and burlap helmets.

To celebrate the impending release once again, Capcom released the new screens below in the gallery. A few of them show a boat and a couple others feature the aforementioned chainsaw dude and his infected brethren.

I find the above crocodile screen the most provocative and its not because I have a “thing” for large reptiles. (I’ve been trying to convince my therapist about this for years.) I am imagining the awesome conversation that I’m going to have with my partner while playing this portion of the game. I can almost hear the wild amount cursing, screaming, sobbing and requests for more ammunition. I can hardly wait.

The more screen shots I see of this game the more I think its gonna have a ton of variety. It looks like this game is gonna have bigger and better action sequences than RE4 and that's great, very welcome in my book. I can't wait for this game.

In RE5 you use your words as weapons. So pick up that megaphone the guy from the demo had and start using racial slurs to do more damage. It is a heck of alot easier then trying to aim.

What does "therapist" spell?

The Rapist.

Enjoy the waste of cash.

A dash of sarcasm with your cynism would be nice, but then again. Taste is a thing to argue about, apperently.

i played the demo and have played nearly every Resident Evil game thats been put out and i gotta say that the game "for me" anyway would be alot more enjoyable with better smoother combat controls,i'm sorry but i like beig able to move while shooting.i know many will say "hey its not an "action" game its "survival horror" or thats just the way Resident evil games are played and it adds suspense, thats bullshit Capcom should update and get with the times.
i will play the new R.E game but i'm not super stoked for it because i know when i'm playing it i'll come to a point that i'll want to throw the contoller at the wall.

You're not very good at this whole abusive troll thing, are you?

I'm looking forward to seeing whether this game really displays the "horror" aspects of the "survival horror" genre. The demo was promising but I hope there's more to the "call partner" command than just "come on!" and "okay!"

Hmmm. I'm really not sure if I want it. I played the demo and I really wasn't that excited. Tho I'm sure the final product will have lots of variety, I just thought the demo would get me more pumped :\
