We already knew that something called Desperate Escape was coming our way, but now we know more on what this DLC for Resident Evil 5 is about.
In my last story on the topic I suggested that Desperate Escape was about Chris and Jill eating at fine restaurants and then "dining and dashing." Turns out that I was way off. As fun as that would have been, Escape tells the story of how Jill Valentine and BSAA Agent Josh Stone as they escape from the Tricell facility.
Jill was under mind control. Josh springs her. They sneak out at night. They fight baddies. They go find Chris and Sheva. They kick ass.
Between this and the other DLC, Lost in Nightmares, you'll spend plenty more quality time with RE5. Along with this, new costumes are coming. Sheva gets a business look while Chris goes all metal. All of this stuff will be on Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition when it comes out.
After the jump, we have a full release schedule for all of the RE5 DLC for both consoles.
Oh, and damn, grrrl. Nice skin-tight suit.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I don't mean that in the potentially pervy sense of the phrase.
They both pick you up at the end of the game....
Well, that solves that mystery.
There was even a close-up of him at the ending
Honestly, i don't know how anyone who actually beat the game would've missed it.
I am interested to know why that is.
@ Gen Eric Gui- My guess is that Josh meets Jill after Chris and Sheva shoot her multiple times then rip that mind control thing off her cleavage.
God, RE5 is so stupid, but I still can't help but like it.
And something tells me if they port this to the next Wii, they are just going to get the gold edition as standard, way late but luckier than PC tsk, and heaps better than 360 arcade owners lol.
They are in the helicopter that helps you escape at the end. So this is how Jill gets from that boss fight with Wesker to the helicopter, she escapes with Josh.
Capcom told G4 when they asked that there are no plans for the DLC to come to the PC at all.
Sorry to hear about that. It's so strange how a video game can bring back so many memories... Good and bad. The summer my Dad passed away, in 2002, Super Mario Sunshine was released. Needless to say, I was depressed and playing the game allowed me time to escape reality for a bit. To this day, when I think about or play Sunshine it brings back those memories. Still, I try to stay positive and realize the game actually helped ease pain. Gotta love Mario! =)
Also, fuck those ridiculously hidden blue coins! =/
