Resident Evil 5 'Desperate Escape' DLC hits LIVE photo

PSA: the second big chunk of Resident Evil 5 campaign DLC, "Desperate Escape," is available over Xbox LIVE Marketplace now and will be so on March 4th for PSN.

If you weren't aware, "Desperate Escape" is a "lost chapter" in the RE5 story arc that has puts you (and a pal) behind one of two turrets: Jill Valentine and Josh Stone. It appears the duo must escape from some weirdo zombie facility right before RE5 proper's Chris and Sheva drill Wesker in his cute little orange spot over and over again. We haven't tried this one out quite yet, but we're hoping -- and by that I mean "praying" -- that a piano will be included in this particular downloadable. There's nothing quite like a music-based QTE in a game about zombies.

Why is this coming out so quickly after the first DLC? Regardless, this one seems a little better in terms of value. I think I'll still hold off for a bundle pack, but this looks good.

@King Sigy

They want to get everything out before Gold hits at the end of the month so people have options, I'd assume.

It's decent. Same old same old, but decent.

Disappointed by Rebecca and Josh in Mercs, though...

Desperate Escape ain't bad. Lots of running and killing. Also it further cements the fact that you don't want to be a helicopter pilot when you grow up. That's one of the many wise lessons Resident Evil has taught me over the years. My only complaint about it though is that if you get the achievements, they show up on your achievement list but they don't add to your gamerscore. That's happened before for other games and will probably be fixed soon but just throwing that out there to all the achievement lovers.

Just finished it. It was truly a 'Desperate Escape'. Fuck. We were under CONSTANT attack for an hour and fifteen minutes. Pretty damn intense.

I need to try out Lost in Nightmares still... Too addicted to MW2 to care about other games though... :(
