The newest issue of Famitsu has some promising news for survival horror fans, namely that a demo for the much-hyped Resident Evil 5 will be showing up on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on December 5.
Although the demo is only confirmed for Japan at this point, and access to it will only be granted to XBL Gold members, that's not about to stop you guys, now is it?
Besides, Capcom was extremely generous with an early demo for Lost Planet way back when, so the idea isn't too far-fetched. There's also no word on an RE5 demo for PlayStation 3 owners yet, but it would be silly of Capcom to glaze over so many potential customers.
Left 4 Dead has gotten me in a zombie killing mood as of late (yes, I know RE5 doesn't have "zombies" per se), so I can't wait. Anyone else excited?

What do you mean? Are you talking about how we didn't get a PS3 demo for Tomb Raider, or something about the full game?
Ah well, im sure it will still be great.
"Update: Capcom has confirmed to Shacknews that the downlodable Resident Evil 5 demo will hit both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America, though there is no announced timeframe.
The company hopes to pin down a specific demo date "soon," noting that the North American demo will arrive later than the Japanese version. Capcom also reaffirmed that Resident Evil 5 is on track for a March 13 release in North America and Europe, despite Capcom Japan bumping the Japanese release up to March 5. "
