If you're like us, you were excited as hell to see the footage of Resident Evil 5 that came out of the 2007 E3 Media & Business summit. The upcoming installment of the popular survival horror series for PS3 and Xbox 360 is still in development and a bit of a ways off, so we'll have to make do with trailers, footage, and screenshots for awhile.

Here's more video goodness. Chris Redfield is still running from freaky African guys. We don't know much else, but we like what we see. It still looks incredible. It should look even better in high-definition when it hits both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox LIVE Marketplace later today. For now, enjoy.

get over the racist bull shit, enjoy the fucking game, people are so fucking rediculous sometimes it's amazing.
RE1-3 was all white people and its all good for them to be slaughtered and now there's spaniards and africans and its "naughty"? give me a break go fuck yourselves. Last thing the gaming industry needs is to labled for subliminal racism or some other crap.

Don't touch our games with such bullshit statements. Enjoy the damn game if its white / black / purple / orange - if it's zombie or infected I wanna see them get owned by the incredibly jacked Chris.

I noticed the RE4 mechanics as well, it's not a bad direction, but I do miss the crazy T-virus storyline. Expanding with Umbrella coming abck to power over seas? Maybe that's what they are trying I dunno. There had to be someone who developed the viruses in the first place.

I think the game looks amazing. I will have to play to test the controls. Hopefully the controls are better than RE4... As a an African-American if Chris is in Haiti or Africa thne he is naturally going to encounter natives so it makes sense. How they are portrayed before transformation will be key.

I'm white/asian and i dont get offended or feel they are racist in earlier RE games. I don't play a game and comment about capcom being racist. No matter what race capcom puts in, someone somewhere would be that race. Deal with it.

Wow. The fact that ANYONE has even mentioned race here is just sad. Seriously... nothing but sad.

You know why there were white baddies in the first three games? It took place in America.

Spaniards were the baddies in 4? Game took place in Spain.

And now there are black baddies because, you guessed it... the game's PLOTLINE has the story taking place in a country where people with dark skin live.

Seriously? Quit trying to make a big deal out of it. The story is why they are there, not because they're racist. If the game took place in, say, Boston and all you saw were black baddies, then you'd have a case. As it stands now?

Did anyone know that Chris is working for an organization called B.S.A.A. He was probably was sent to this area to investigate something that has happened. Did anyone notice that in the begining of the trailer that while Chris was walking past the Africans that they didn't attack him? Something must have changed them while Chris was there.

Well, it was inevitable that race would become the issue.
What I find compelling about the race card pulled in this instance is this. In GTA San Andreas, you are the stereotypical ghetto black person surrounded by stereotypical ghetto black people who you are actually told to go out and shoot, stab, run over, and kill in any creative way you can come up with, when their only offense is standing on your corner wearing a different color than you. However, when it's a white character in a horror game shooting black people who are attacking him with numerous sharp objects and HE EVEN SAYS IN THE BEGINNING THE TRAILER HE IS ONLY THERE TO HELP... its racist.

i created an account just to say that just because you killed a black person doesnt make you racist, its a game, they are infected with a new type of virus/parasite and you have to stop it from spreading to you and the world. who gives a crap if their black. If the oppening scene was you running in screaming "ZOMG THOSE BLACK (racist coment's here) ARE SO GAYZZZZ!!!" then it would be racist. but no. someone took it to far and made a blog on it...

The RE4 controls are great, I am very glad to hear they are making a comeback in RE5. I know a lot of people hoped for a strafing run and gun FPS type control, but I am very glad to have the realistic controls. In the real world nobody runs and shoots or dives through the air shooting like in a Michael Bay movie. If you did that you would mis s every shot and waste a lot of ammo. When you train to shoot you are trained to stop and aim not spray and pray like a jehadist. Having to stop and shoot means that you have to slow down and get into the game, and if you are outnumbered or out gunned you have to pull back. In FPS games you just run around in little circles shooting everything on the screen and shooting about 200 pounds of ammo in five minutes. DONE WITH MY RANT, PLEASE CONTINUE.
