Back in February, Theory Interactive pulled the curtain away to reveal Reset, a singleplayer co-op puzzle game. Yep, singleplayer co-op. Using the wonders of time travel, you'll work together with yourself to solve puzzles in an absolutely gorgeous post-apocalyptic world.
The debut trailer has landed, and wow. I'm pretty excited to be a PC gamer right now. Hey Theory, go on and take my money now, k? You can follow the game's development via their blog, I know I will.
More of a tech demo than a trailer, and for that it was, indeed, pretty amazing.
Somehow, the idea of "working with yourself" has made me lose interest a little. When I heard it was going to be a puzzle game with an emphasis on story and atmosphere, I was expecting something like Portal only without a zany concept like time traveling or portal guns.
Braid featured snippets if this concept, Blades of Time ran with it, and there's an upcoming XBLA sidescroller using that mechanic as well. Odd convergence of time for this concept to take off simultaneously in three games a couple years after Braid...
The way the make the footage look like actual timelapse videos is pretty cool, and I like the understated nature of the trailer, but I'll hold further judgement until I see what the gameplay actually looks like.
17-Bit's turn-based Skulls of the Shogun is wonderful. Strategy players, simply put, need to grab it. And now that it's coming to Steam, I don't feel like I jerk for making such a strong recommendation. So long, Windows 8!

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you guys; I'm not super into puzzle-platformers anymore. There is something about them that just doesn't click with me like they did before. Except for 6180 The Moon. That game is rad.&n...
Other platformers have gone the random generation route, but not to the extent that Cloudberry Kingdom has. In fact, it's taken developer Pwnee Studios over four years to perfect the engine and game logic. After seeing it in ...
Since the original Portal launched in 2007 there have been a slew of puzzle/shooter hybrids trying to steal the spotlight. C3 is the first one to come along that has given me pause to look at it.

Of all the Xbox One games that were revealed during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference, it was Capybara's Below that had me the most excited for the next-gen system. How could I not be? After all, Capy has had a track recor...
Braid-creator Jonathan Blow's The Witness is probably my most anticipated PS4 game -- almost definitely among games that are coming to the system this year. It, in its own way, stole the show at Sony's PlayStation 4 announcem...
I'm going to be honest with you guys, I've never really considered buying an OUYA. Something just doesn't sit right with me. That was until Matt Thorson sat me down and forced me to play Towerfall. Now I want an OUYA.
